FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $25/hour. In my opinion, this is the most fair way to charge. Estimates are just that, as once the work begins, sometimes it turns out to either take a shorter amount of time or a longer amount of time. Charging per hour gives the client the exact amount of cleaning time the job requires. I bring all my own equipment and use my own supplies, unless a client has a particular cleaner they wish me to use; I am happy to oblige.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our first communication is generally over the phone or via text message from the client if they are interested in my service. I then suggest meeting in the home for a bid and to discuss their cleaning needs, frequency, budget, and priorities. If the client is interested we then schedule the first cleaning appointment, and go from there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in this field part time since 2011 and full time since 2013, after experiencing a corporate layoff in 2011. For many years I provided day care in my home and have several children of my own, all of which requires a good deal of housekeeping. I have always enjoyed taking excellent care of our home.
