With a good number of years experience marketing technology and services, I was eager to return to the field, but somewhat reserved about how a seasoned professional might "fit in" to the current marketplace. I found Navigating Transitions on www.meetup.com. I was interested in attending the February event as I am a Georgia attorney specializing in bankruptcy and real estate law, but living in the Bay Area. Since I am not a licensed attorney in California, I was looking for alternative careers. Since I am still new to California, I was hoping to start establishing a network base. When I went to the Navigating Transitions meet-up, I was relieved that it was a small gathering so we could do more than a 2 minute pitch to each other. As an introvert, Kristina was great at helping everyone feel at ease. It turned out everyone was open about their concerns about transitioning into a different career. It was nice to hear other people had the same concerns that was running through my head. After discussing my background, Kristina said there was an attorney she wanted me to meet. Within two days, Kristina reached out to the attorney who then scheduled a networking meeting with me. Prior to the networking meeting, Kristina called me and gave me good advice on how to make the most of the meeting. I was excited that I was meeting another attorney! I was even more excited when the networking meeting eventually turned into a job opportunity! I have no one else but Kristina to thank for connecting me to my new career. I recommend attending the monthly meeting at least once. You never know who you'll meet, or how you'll meet your future employer!

$125 - $150 per session depending on the career counseling package.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Talk to them about where they are now, what they would like, and anything holding them back. May ask them to fill out an introductory questionnaire, depending on their goals. Determine specific goals for our work together. In hour-long career counseling sessions, as well as over email between sessions, I support clients with career goals and challenges, as well as action steps, and share powerful resources. These may include assessments, online career information, impactful career and job search tips, exercises, right-brained creative activities, and other tools I have gained throughout my career. .
