FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Modeling and Drafting starts at $25 an hour while 3d printing costs are calculated using material costs and machine time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Understanding their needs, explaining my skills, and coming to some terms based on what they need and I am capable of. Usually this looks like someone bringing a problem like, "I hate my vent covers." I'll offer some feedback about what I think I can do about it, "We could 3d print some out of a catalog, or we could create some custom ones to meet your needs." We'll of course have an open dialog about how this project should look, colors, fasteners, or if you just want it dropped in a box with the brim still attached.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in Computer Science, I've worked on some open source software projects, reverse engineering, custom hardware, and rapid prototyping teams. I also work on a print workshop with over a dozen printers, working on anything from custom enclosures to a conveyor belt driven flsun super racer.
