We truly appreciate hearing that you were happy with the overall results of your project and that our team did a great job. Your project included kitchen cabinets, ceilings, walls, doors, and the open-concept living room, dining room, and kitchen areas. We would like to respectfully clarify that we never refused assistance regarding the bathroom door concern mentioned in your review. When you contacted us several days after project completion, we responded promptly and requested additional information, including a current full-view photograph of the door, so we could properly evaluate the issue and compare it with our project records. When we did not receive the requested photograph, Dario contacted you directly to discuss the concern and offered to perform an on-site inspection. He also explained that he would review the photographs taken during the final walkthrough to determine whether there were any missed or unpainted areas and better understand what may have occurred. As part of that conversation, he explained our standard warranty process. If an inspection determined that the issue was related to our workmanship, we would have corrected it at no cost under our warranty. It is also important to note that the bathroom door was painted on the exterior face only, as outlined in the agreed scope of work. The door was never removed from its hinges, and the doorknob, hinges, and other hardware were not removed, adjusted, or repositioned during our painting process. Because the concern involved both the operation of the door and a large exposed unpainted area beneath the doorknob, we offered an inspection to determine the cause and whether it was related to our work. During your conversation with Dario, you advised that you had adjusted the doorknob yourself and that the door-closing issue had been resolved. You also indicated that an on-site inspection was no longer necessary. While reviewing the photographs you later provided, I observed a clearly visible exposed area beneath the doorknob hardware, and the hardware appeared to be positioned differently from what was shown in our completion photographs. This exposed area was not visible in the photographs taken at project completion. I explained in my email that Dario would be contacting you and that the condition seen in the photographs could potentially have contributed to the door-closing concern. I also advised that once we gathered all the necessary information, we would determine what could happen and the appropriate next steps. I subsequently provided photographs taken during the final walkthrough from multiple angles, which showed the door fully painted and completed at the time the project was finished. Because the inspection was ultimately declined after the door-closing issue had been resolved, we were unable to complete a full evaluation of the concern. At Gaxiola's Painting LLC, we stand behind our workmanship, honor our warranties, and maintain detailed photographic records of completed projects. Had the issue been related to our workmanship, we would have gladly addressed it under our warranty. We remain willing to provide a cosmetic touch-up of the exposed area around the hardware if desired. However, door adjustments, hardware repairs, and door-alignment issues fall outside the scope of professional painting services.
