These guys were AMAZING and I can't recommend them enough. They gave me a fair bid - which was a little higher than some of the others - but were very willing to work with me to reduce costs. For example, there were joists under the deck which were still usable, which cut my costs. They were alway exactly on time and left the work site very clean. When I wanted to talk about small changes, they listened and were very open to the changes. See the photo of the new steps to my front door. I have learned that what goes on top of the deck is not as important as what goes on UNDER the deck. They were constantly checking to make sure that everything was plumb and exactly as needed. You will not find a better contractor to do your deck.

We hired MG Exterior Contracting to build a new deck and put in 2 sliding glass doors. There were many delays, on our end due to dealing with the County, but Michael remained very flexible and accommodating. Michael and David have been extremely professional, and communication has been exceptional, throughout the process. We aren't quite done, but I'm looking forward to sharing pictures of the completed project. Definitely recommend Michael and his crew for your project needs. Great guys!

Mike and his partner were very friendly, responsive and professional and delivered a quality product at a very reasonable cost. And when they discovered some additional issues with the prior construction as they were resurfacing the old deck, they were super helpful in working with me so keep the pricing in line with the original estimate. I would recommend them for any deck job as was a pleasure to work with them.👍

MG Exterior Contracting did a great job, removing our old deck, stairs and railings. The new deck, stairs and railings look amazing and will last a long time. The guys were quick and professional. We would recommend them to anyone.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I dont mark up material. Typically I will order the material via a supplier, then give the order number to the customer so they can pay for it directly. that way they know they are not getting charged any more then what they cost.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Union Carpenter. Did a 4 year apprenticeship and 8 years in the field.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
After I came home from Marine Corps I joined my local carpenters union. I found passion in my work, but I wanted more. I always wanted my own buisness.
