I want to help you feel your best and reach your health goals as quickly as possible so you can get back to enjoying your life. I treat each person with compassion and care and take the time to listen to all your concerns. Whether you are looking for relief from aches and pains, or treatment for an illness or health condition, I can help. If you want to reduce or eliminate your dependence on pain medication by treating the source of the problem, not just the symptoms, you've come to the right place! Oriental Medicine is a form of health care that has been used successfully for thousands of years. It can prevent as well as heal disease in the body, mind, and spirit. Receiving acupuncture is not only safe and effective, but relaxing as well! The treatment style I use is very gentle and tailored to each patient's needs. I incorporate several different techniques, including acupuncture, tui na medical massage, gua sha, herbal medicine, and more to create an individualized treatment that will yield maximum results. I treat a variety of conditions and specialize in pain relief - both acute and chronic including: auto accident recovery; post surgical pain; muscle and joint pain; headaches; neck, back, sciatic, shoulder, spine, and limb pain. In addition, I also treat stress induced illness, digestive disorders, anxiety & depression, and many other conditions that effect the respiratory, immune, endocrine, circulatory, and musculoskeletal systems. Hi! I love what I do and have experienced Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture heal so many issues in so many different cases. I combine all aspects of TCM including Acupuncture/Acupressure, herbal medicine, cupping, Qi Gong, lifestyle and nutritional counseling, and spiritual work. I often work on the emotional parts of illness, though I love working on relief for coughs, colds, stress, pain, grief, depression, and pregnancy /birth /postpartum care. I am very easy to talk with and many people open up about and clear things that have been weighing down on them for too long. TCM provides people a true option for longevity, health, and wellness in acute and chronic situations with little to no side effects using your body's own immune system. I work with pediatrics, adults, pregnant mommas, elders, and hospice patients. Free parking downtown and home visits when needed. Most insurances accepted and sliding scale for financial need. Helping people get back to their lives, feel better, and empowered.(show more)
The most important dimension of my work is personally connecting with my patients. I spend time getting to know you, in addition to your health history and chief health complaints. I have experienced, both as provider and patient, that the relationship is central to the healing process. When the dynamic is nurtured and valued, then communication is more thorough, I have more opportunity to be of service to you, and we see long-lasting improvements in your health. I have the best job in the world. I love working closely with people, and am always honored to be able to hear someone's life story. My confidence in the amazing power of acupuncture and herbal medicine grows on a daily basis, as I get to apply time-tested therapeutic methods and see their effectiveness firsthand. There is nothing more satisfying than helping my patients feel vital and happy.(show more)

I'm Eric Grey, co-founder and Chinese medicine practitioner at Watershed Community Wellness, a clinic in Ladd's Addition, a beautiful neighborhood in close-in Southeast Portland, Oregon. As a practitioner of Chinese medicine, I have an intense passion to dig deeply into the traditions of Chinese medicine to find effective, truly holistic solutions for common health problems. I let my passion for traditional knowledge guide me in the pursuit of my passion to see people happy, healthy, and thriving. I have a particular interest and skill in the kind of chronic internal medicine problems that cause practitioners of all types of medicine to throw up their hands. Digestive problem that just won't go away? Insomnia with no particular cause? Auto-immune condition with no solid diagnosis? Endless series of colds, flus and allergy attacks that leave you winded and broken? A combination of safe, effective Chinese herbs, acupuncture and strategizing around lifestyle and diet can and will find you in a better place.(show more)
At Inner Gate Acupuncture we are trained in numerous types of acupuncture. For this reason, we are able to match the acupuncture technique with the specifics of the patient we are are treating. Some patients are very anxious about the needles, so we do a low impact, gentle treatment. Others, such as those suffering from sports related injuries, prescribe to the notion of "no pain, no gain." They expect to "feel a lot" and so we can use a focused, trigger point style technique with them. Understanding not only the complaint, but also the needs and wants of the patient in front of you is something we strive to achieve with every patient. The best part of being an acupuncturist is helping patient recover from the complaint that brought them in while have no concerns that our medicine has side effects. Sometimes that is as simple as helping a sore back or an achy elbow heal. More often, it entails spending time with the patient, answer questions and helping them learn how they can bring about changes in their own lives that will prevent further problems; exercises, diet changes, stress management techniques, referrals to other like minded health care practitioners.(show more)
Shinichi Moriyama specializes in Japanese Bodywork, a unique blend of massage and/or acupuncture therapy, coupled with stretching instructions that is easy to follow even at home. It is an all-encompassing modality that enables you to improve your health!
He treats ailments like headaches, shoulder pains, frozen shoulders, back pains, digestive and reproductive issues, nerve pains, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, shingles pain, anxiety, and insomnia.
Most of my clients are in tune with their physical presence and strive for optimal level of health. I also help people who are in need of immediate, effective pain relief. When a client feels better, that is a success for me.
Shinichi recommends clients to try acupuncture to open up channels and improve the Qi flow in the body, but he respects clients who are not comfortable with the idea. Some just come in for massage and stretching.
Clients love his professional yet gentle and reassuring approach, and the fact that they always feel better afterward! Try it yourself.

Despite being strictly Community Acupuncture clients (versus full-rate private clients), Kim's work with my lady & me has been nothing short of miraculous.
