- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a square foot price range for services like painting and siding. The price range varies depending on the color scheme, number of stories, or condition of a home. For windows it really varies. A vinyl window can run $400 installed or $2000 depending on the size and features it has. Kitchen and Bathroom remodels can run as little as $6,000 to well over $50,000 depending on the extent of the work and the grade of cabinets and fixtures chosen by the homeowners.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by finding out exactly what a customer wants done with their home. Once I am sure I understand what is wanted I work with the customer to figure out pricing and scheduling.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Before getting my bachelor's degree I did 2.5 years of a carpentry trades program. After college I worked in the building trades for about 10 years before starting my own business.
