What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We take advantage of all the classes we can whether its a line we use or another. I believe even if we learn one new technique it's worth it. We get a lot of continuing education with AlphaParf this company has so many learning opportunities.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
Our prices are not outrageous. We want everyone to be able to look their best, come in, in a timely manner to keep up their style and be able to afford the products they need to manage their look.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have cut friends and family hair since I was a teenager, my best friend was a hair stylist and I didn't now what I wanted to do out of high school so for my my first year out of school I took general classes at PCC then one day someone said why don't you go to beauty school and I said yeah that sounds good.
WOW was that good! I love what I do, I guess I always did and just didn't know it at the time.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I don't think we have one service we do more then others but we do a lot of color, with the Alpha Parf color line our color last longer than most other color lines. We also do hair extensions at a reasonable.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We love doing weddings, our last two were off location. One was at Skamania Lodge and the other The Grand Lodge. We have so much fun doing wedding hair and makeup. It is so fulfilling to be part of someones most special day. This can be a very stress full day for the bride but we strive to make it very relaxing and enjoyable. We love helping contribute to this day that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
