FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do research on a daily basis to update myself with all the new music as well as products available for events. I stay in close communication with venues as well as other vendors to network and learn from other professionals. All of our DJs learn updated info from me on a weekly basis to keep them up to date on everything in our ever changing industry.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was in high school (1990) that I started DJing. Now I own and operate this company I have created years ago. It's the best job anyone could have.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I would say that we do 80% wedding / private parties and 20% school events. We do about 200 events a year and this keeps us very busy. We offer great, fair pricing and I would say that once you have down the venue that should be a great time to reserve your DJ. Most magazines say to wait much closer to the event date. The problem with waiting to close on your event date is that popular DJs book up really fast. We often times book events one and two years prior to events. It's always a good idea to check and see if your event date is open with us.
