I combine current theories in brain and behavioral science with my love of dogs. I want training to be fun, positive and productive.
I also work to get results quickly. I can usually give a client the tools they need in one or two sessions.
I love seeing the change in dogs as they start to get the training. Training isn't about getting a dog to do a behavior; is about getting a dog to enjoy doing a behavior. It should always be a fun and positive experience for the dog and their people.

Gulley is clearly knowledgeable, experienced, and deeply passionate about the well-being of dogs and maximizing the relationship between you and your dog.
We had some differences about how to effect change in my dog's unwanted behavior but he nevertheless gave me useful information and tangible things I could do to help my dog understand what I wanted from her and to help me reduce my frustration when she was displaying unwanted behavior.
I expect I will be reaching out to him again when she and I get to the next level in our relationship i.e. doing agility or scent work.

Friendly and very caring. We feel very comfortable leaving our dogs at home knowing gulley will be by to give them a walk and even work on some behavioral issues.

Gulley is my regular dog walker and he is outstanding at his job. I transitioned from working at home to working in an office once again and was very nervous about what my super high energy, very attached dog would get into while I was away. Gulley keeps my dog Milo entertained, tires him out, and genuinely cares about him - even stopping in an additional time on a day that he had an upset stomach. Gulley is responsible, knows a lot about dogs, and I highly recommend him to friends and others.

My dog has been showing some aggression with other dogs at the dog park. Gulley showed me a lot of ways to calm my dog down before we even got to the dog park and then keep her focused while she was playing with other dogs. There was a moment when my dog started to engage with another dog, but after a little work she's looking up at me before she gets aggressive thereby breaking the pattern. Gulley is fantastic. I would highly recommend him as a trainer and dog walker. My dog LOVES him!

I just can't say enough good things about Chris. He's a great communicator with people and animals, compassionate and friendly. Even better, his methods are designed to help your dog be successful through positive reinforcement. Highly recommended.
