Services provided were electrical in nature: change all light switches & outlet plugs; install new closet light; install new basement lights on existing circuit; install new dedicated light switch for additional kitchen light and so on. Additionally, he helped repair and re-install door handles and locks in a 2925 craftsman bungalow. Work was done professionally, methodically and efficiently. Prompt, good communication and a pleasure to work with. Will use again for future projects
My sister hired Glenn to do a trim job in our downstairs bathroom. When he came to the house to check out the scope of work, she was delighted with his knowledge of trim for bathrooms (the material my sister bought was not appropriate for a residential bathroom), and he showed her (on his phone) what was out there and available for trim. The trim he suggested and installed was a HUGE difference in what we thought it would look like. My sister was totally delighted. He also fixed another decade-long problem she had in the kitchen. It was always a hassle for US to try and fix, but he took care of it like the professional he is. Due to this man’s knowledge, skill and professionalism, we have suggested to others that he be hired for jobs that they need done. His honesty was also a refreshing change to come across. If you want it done and want it done right, you need to hire Glenn Burke!
I asked Chris Wilhelm of Compass Home Repair and Renovation to install a utility sink in my basement. I had recently done a renovation restoring a bedroom, bathroom suite along with adding a washer and dryer for a a tenant. I didn't think about a utility sink, as part of that renovation which is a useful thing to have for larger and dirty clean-up projects. I only had a sink. There was no drain, no spigot or faucets. He dropped by my home to get an idea of the job's specifics and returned a week later. Chris installed the sink with a few hiccups along the way (such as trying to figure out how to turn off the water--not his fault--the recent plumbing was unlike anything he'd ever encountered. The sink works beautifully, and he integrated it next to the washer/dryer without taking up any additional space in this storage area. Best of all is the hose attachment, which insures that hard-to-reach spaces can be reached without effort. I've already hired Chris to do some restoration of my porch steps, which is due to be done this Saturday.
Installed pantry. Stacey had to remove the baseboards, remove a thermostat, and install pantry unit to wall. Reinstall cut to fit baseboards and trim up the unit. Stacey did an excellent job and completed the task in a timely manner.
Daniel hung 4 doors, ran all the baseboard trim, windows trim and trimmed out 3 closets for me. Additionally, he filled, caulked and painted all the trim and painted the trim and doors. Three of the doors and jambs needed to be altered so it was no easy job. He also filled, primed and painted the risers on my fir stairs. His bid was extremely reasonable and his start date was exactly when I needed it. Daniel is polite, clean, professional, on time and on budget. He worked long hours and was really flexible while I was lining up floor refinishing. Really, he is a great guy and his work is high quality. Daniel was a pleasure to work with and communicate with. He is prompt on returning messages. I wish all the contractors I used were as good as Daniel. The work he did for me was on a rental and I will be using him to hang some exterior doors, run trim and pain at the house I live in. I showed his work to a few neighbors and they want his number now. It was a pleasure to work with Daniel and I will be using him for all my carpentry needs. He is highly recommended for any of your remodeling needs.
Installed exterior trim on my windows. It is an old house so certain areas were 3 deep in various sidings, which made for a trick job on some windows. Daniel was able to make the trim work for all these windows. Great communication. Job well done.

I cannot say enough about the excellent job that was done painting the exterior of our house and staining our deck. There was a real pride in workmanship and in doing things right that is not always seen. I am keeping his card and will call him first if I have any painting or remodeling needs in the future.
We initially called Brad for some basic household repairs and interior paint while getting ready to sell our home. Luckily, we pointed out a small crack in the drywall, and upon closer inspection it was found to be squishy (yikes!) leading us to pull back the baseboard and discover mold running the length of the wall. The roof gutter had been built into the exterior siding and had been leaking into the wall for years. If Brad's team had not discovered this and made it an immediate priority to repair, it could have impacted the sale of the house and possibly led to future lawsuits against us from the eventual buyer. Thanks to A1 acting quickly, our gutter/siding/interior wall problem got all fixed up, the new paint and carpet look great and the house sold within days of the work being completed. What could have delayed the sale for months only took a couple of weeks to remedy. Thank you Brad and team! We recommend A1, and we will be calling them to help us fix up our new house too.
Juan did a great job refurbishing a very large double gate which was becoming weathered and unstable. He reinforced a post with new concrete, replaced frame boards as well as fence boards. He found a problem with the hinge of one gate and took the time to repair it to make it stable. He completed the job in about 4.5 hours. Everything was cleaned up afterward and looked great. I recommend Juan and his crew for your yard repair needs.
Ed was fast and reasonably priced. The repair work on my formal dining room table legs was as good as could have been expected for the damage that they had suffered.
Start to Finish Construction remodeled our daylight basement after a very bad flood situation. They removed and hauled away all the damaged carpet and drywall. All new drywall was installed along with all new wood trim, carpeting and vinyl flooring. We were very happy with the end result and Chad added some very nice touches to the trim work at no extra charge. We had one small issue that was resolved very promptly. I would use them again without hesitation!
Roman basically transformed our entire house! He painted every room inside (walls and ceilings) and the outside trim, as well as fitting in some roof maintenance at the same time. He put in new flooring in each of the bathrooms, along with toilets, vanities, and new light fixtures. He painted and installed baseboards thoughout the ground floor, including some quality touches where the edges were rounded. When we moved to the kitchen, he installed each of our appliances (including mounting the new sink under the countertop). What was turning into an incredible (and expensive) headache when we were trying to set up a purchase of granite countertop ourselves was eased when Roman helped coordinate the purchase from quote to destruction and cleanup of the old formica counters to installation and fitting of the new. I could probably go on to describe other quality touches but the bottom line is this. Roman understood our goal was to prepare the house for sale, and advised us what we should and shouldn't do to maximize our investment. He could have made more money off us, but was clearly concerned with our getting the most bang for our buck. The cost was reasonable and the bonus: he is one of the most detail-oriented people I have seen. And a nice person too. By the time most people have finished with their contractor, there is usually a negative relationship because of dissatisfaction with the work, the pace, and/or the quality. Didn't happen with Roman.
Reed Payson did an outstanding job repairing our bathroom pocket door. He removed the trim as required to remove the door and quickly assessed multiple issues that were causing it to derail. He vacuumed out the pocket area, repaired the door rail, removed a nail that was causing friction, got the door back on, used a nail gun and applied caulk to reset the trim. Within two hours of his arrival he had the door and trim back on and the door is operating very smoothly ever since. Highly recommended!!!
I worked with Chance (Owner I believe) after the tenant of my rental house did a number on the interior. He gave me an accurate up front estimate of what the repainting of the inside would cost, and also gave fair hourly pricing for various other fixes throughout the house well beyond painting. He repaired a broken door, a door frame, a shower rod, a towel rod, fixed poorly installed blinds (... yeah that was my bad), swapped out, sealed and painted some outdoor panels on two posts, powerwashed the exterior, and offered great thoughts on possible projects and fixes to be done down the road. Absolutely will be working with him again, Chance was a one stop shop for everything I needed.
Vitaliy is by far the best contractor I have worked with. It is very rare that you will find this level of care, professionalism, attention to detail and punctuality in one contractor. He worked on exterior and interior trim on my home in Vancouver, WA. His work was fast, beautiful and clean. I will always go to him for my future construction needs.
We hired John to build cabinets for a complete custom kitchen remodel project and two custom bathrooms. The cabinets are all solid plywood and finished in a beautiful figured walnut. John’s attention to detail is nothing short of stellar! He matched the grain patterns from the top cabinets to the bottom cabinets and all the trim was perfectly cut and installed. Our project was quite extensive and because of the very fine quality of work we even had John finish five custom solid core doors for us. From the doors, to the custom freestanding oven hood, it’s all top quality work! Needless to say, I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in artisan quality work! John is a true craftsman. I hired Red Fox to do various repairs to my home. The work included tile repair, sink faucet replacement, fixing wall trim, and even fixing my stove! Excellent service, not only a great job but fast and efficient. Red Fox is now my go-to service for repairs. Thank you Red Fox!
My experience with CJ has always been exceptional, over the years he has done several jobs for me. Including both interior and exterior painting, has installed doors, locks and knobs. He is professional and punctual and truly cares about the quality of his work. I wouldn't hesitate to call him in the future.
New Legacy Construction was an answer to prayer for our family. They completely under bid all competitors as they took pride in performing the work with our working budget while still delivering our dream kitchen. The end results completely transformed our tiny kitchen into a truly modern stylish kitchen. This was a major remodel popping out our exterior wall 100 sq ft and then adding island, new cupboards, new full size window, removing an internal wall, exposing brick and adding flooring. The end results have every visitor in shock that it's even the same home. I will be using New Legacy Construction for future work and highly recommend them.
