FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For high-volume events, a second painter is available for an additional charge. Individual or costume painting prices are determined by the level of detail and coverage needed. I reserve two spots per month for discounted non-profit or fundraising events - ask about availability!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If I'm going to be painting at a party, fair, picnic, etc., I like to learn about the theme and the role that face painting will play in the general plans so I can participate as seamlessly as possible on the day of the event. I also usually have practical questions about the setting: Is it indoors or outdoors? Should I bring a table and chairs for setup? Is there running water? Are there special considerations for the participants, etc.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I helped some friends do old-age effects for a short promotional video, which was a lot of fun. We used theater makeup for a more realistic look, and it took about an hour and a half for a couple thirty-somethings to become a couple eighty-somethings.
