Ryan from McMinnville Chimcare came to clean my chimney last week and also to give me an estimate on reflashing around the top of chimney, as I had some leakage occurring. Ryan called ahead to see if he could come earlier than scheduled as he had finished with his prior job, which suited me fine. He arrived promptly and was extremely professional and courteous. He got the damper unstuck and did a terrific job of cleaning the chimney from top to bottom, not to mention answering my countless questions...:-)) After that was finished, Ryan wrote up a quote outlining repairs that were necessary, explaining in detail all that should be done and the cost. I found the quote equitable and am scheduled to have the necessary repairs to the chimney done tomorrow. I appreciate the friendly manner in which I was treated. Thank you...:-))

We hired Chimcare to repair mortar joints on our chimney and front brick wall, install a chimney cap and flue, and sweep. The estimate was detailed but failed to identify that major work was needed to cut out and re-point a significant portion of the chimney and front wall. Therefore, after the crew started, the cost added to the project was nearly double of what we lead to believe. That being said, the work performed by Conrad was top notch. He took the time to listen and explain the process and areas that weren't identified by the estimate that also needed attention. Top notch work but the estimate should have been prepared much better. Overall a satisfied customer and would use again.

We were referred to Chimcare by our woodstove installer, All Fuel of Troutdale, OR. Our previous chimney cleaner had retired and we had had difficulty in finding a chimney cleaner that worked in Corbett, OR. Chimcare solved that problem. Their tech, Ryan, contacted us prior to our appointment and asked if he could show up a bit early, which was just fine with us. We were very pleased with the professionalism exhibited by Ryan, from his appearance and greeting when he first arrived until he left. He went about his job of cleaning the chimney without issue. When Ryan was done our home was as clean, if not a bit cleaner, than before he did the work. Upon completion Ryan explained what he had done and went over his inspection report. He addressed a couple items that needed attention and gave us an estimate for the work. We never felt there was any pressure to "sell work". We were very pleased with all aspects of our experience with Chimcare, from making the original appointment until their tech was finished. We intend to use Chimcare in the future.

The words I said to myself were, " I wish working with all services were as smooth, easy, efficient to work with as ChimCare." I was impressed by how friendly and accommodating Brian was when we set the time for cleaning. It wasn't four weeks away, it was within the same week I called. Ryan was our chimney tech who came to clean the chimney. He cleaned the chimney quickly, and there was no smell or residue left after the job was completed. He explained the condition of the chimney and the work was finished within an hour. Ryan was polite and helpful and for good luck, I shook his hand! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We pride ourselves on Quality at a fair price. We do not want to be the cheapest as that means cutting corners and/or hiring employees that don't fit our company standards. We also don't want to be the most expensive. Our goal is to be in the middle yet offer the best quality at an affordable cost.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are license, bonded and insured. We also are certified within the chimney sweep industry which is a second layer of certification that most of our competitors do not have. Oregon only requires a contractors license and no formal certification within our field. This allows the fly by night companies to enter our industry looking to make a quick buck with no formal training! Very Scary!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Our company specializes in doing chimney cleaning, chimney repair and dryer vent cleaning. These are our 3 most common jobs that we perform day in and out. We also provide a list of masonry services that tend to be more summer related such as: Outdoor fireplaces, patios, retaining walls, mailboxes and pretty much anything masonry related.
