Ivan and his crew did a fine job of taking out an existing buckled sidewalk, removing tree roots, and pouring a new sidewalk. Good work and good value for the money. Thanks!

Ivan was a pleasure to work with, responds pretty quickly and was able to phrase things in ways I could understand when describing city-permits and wait times and other things like that. For my project (sidewalk repair/replacement) he did most of the work himself, and on the occasion he had help that man was also courteous and timely. CRM was upfront and accurate with cost analysis of the project and was prompt to move the project along after the city got around to approving the work on each step. His bid was also significantly less than the other three bids I received from private contractors and almost half of what the city quoted.

Please note that I am in the same household as the 1 star review. When you read this entire review you will understand. In the beginning of the project the owner and general contractor sent a crew member that was less than stellar. After 3 or so days of that person's work we were not impressed (and actually got worried about if the project would get done ever AND if the quality would be good). That is when my fiance and I (under her account) put in the 1 star review. The comments included were harsh and we did it like one of those emails you write when you're angry to get it off your chest but don't intend to send. Much to our chagrin Thumbtack posted it anyway. We thought better of it and edited the content to read "Pending". Unfortunately, Thumbtack only allows one edit and then locks the rating and comment in (so, CRM has a 1 star rating with comment "pending"). This review is what we would write now to replace that 1 star. Ivan (the owner/general contractor) was extremely responsive and attempted to redirect the worker in question. When his work quality/ethic did not improve, Ivan hired another person. This person continued the work and with the help of 3 co-workers (1 which was afraid of heights so redoing a deck 50 feet above the ground was not in the cards, 1 who was good quality-wise but showed up late and left early to the chagrin of the great worker, and then finally a third person on par with second journeyman worker). These two (the journeyman and third co-worker) along with the general contractor completed all of the work (redid a deck (replace plywood, some framing, flashing, waterproof a la Elasti-Lock, membrane, and paint, and new railing), braces on the house wall siding, painted the sides of the house), and to me just as importantly, fixed things they may have damaged in the process and cleaned up after themselves. Overall, not a 5 but Ivan figured it out, remedied the situation, and did what he said his company would do. Job well done.
