About
I have been in the hardwood flooring business for 14 years. I am covered by license, bond, and insurance. I find it is a must to see a floor and discuss the work before a final bid is made. That way there aren't any surprises to you the customer because of a few change orders. What I like about my job is the look on the customer's face when the job is finished.

Brad was EXCELLENT! I had just purchased a house, and when they removed the staging area rugs, I noticed some wear and tear on the floor that I wanted refinished. Brad came over within 24 hours to assess the job, and he was in the house 3 days later. He fit the job in before the movers came - such a lifesaver! The work Brad did was spectacular. The floors make the house look brand new! He even repaired a few areas that were quite damaged. Brad was done with the job within about 36 hours. Hiring him was the best move I could have made in the new place. Brad is lovely, super communicative, and punctual. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for floor work!

Appreciated working with him. There was some spots we wanted additional work done on beyond what we discussed and he came out a second time to transform our Floors into what we wanted. Thanks

My floors had been trashed by tenants. There was major water damage in 2 places in the kitchen, heavy wear and water damage at front door and sliding door, and lots of damage from wheelchair treads. Except for the master suite (which is Spanish tile), I needed the entire rest of the house floors redone. I estimate about 1400 sf of floor. I tried to get 4 bids. One didn’t respond at all. Three gave me bids. One was $5660, one was $5200, and one was $13,500. I eliminated the $13k bid because that’s just dumb. The $5200 guy then ghosted me. So I ended up by default with the last bid, which was Viking Floors. Owner/operator is Brad Eller. Brad was very responsive to texts and email. I questioned him about 2 bad reviews on his site (among countless good reviews), and he was very open and honest about what happened on those 2 jobs. He accepted responsibility for his part and explained things to my satisfaction. After the main sanding was done, Brad put down 5-6 sample stains for me to choose one. The final product is really quite amazing, especially considering what the floors looked like before. The job ended up taking one day longer than expected. But the floors really look great. There were 2 small “dry spots” (missed sealant) but Brad fixed these. He blue-taped all the door frames to protect them. (Baseboards we’re already removed.) I would have appreciated his removing all this tape so I didn’t have to. But this is a small thing. There are before and after photos. The floor is a lovely chestnut brown. Some of the after photos show an orange tint because of the sun. Throughout this project, Brad kept me informed of progress daily. I am really pleased with everything and I can highly recommend Brad Eller and Viking Floors.

Did a great job on our 110-year old for floors! He laid down options for finishes and worked within our very compressed schedule. The last photo is the ‘before’ image.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

my process is to meet the customer face to face see exactly what kind of work they need done and any potential issues that we might have with the job. Find out the time frame they need to have the job done, because if we can't take care of the job in their time frame there's no sense wasting the customers time. if the calendars work then I do a thorough work up on a bid present it to the customers and see if it works for both of us. then if the bid is accepted we make sure to get the job done in the time frame that was agreed upon and make sure the customer is left happy with the work we've done.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I got into the flooring business by starting in the master bedroom at my own house learning I like the work and thought it was very rewarding to see the finished product.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

don't always look for the lowest price oftentimes you get what you pay for. look for somebody that listens to you and wants to provide you the service to get what you want done.
