FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a consultation, either by video call or in person here in Portland, to talk through your goals and the style of photos you’re looking for. Once you’re ready to move forward, I’ll send a payment request through Thumbtack Pay so everything is secure and simple. • Weddings, portraits, and graduation sessions require a non-refundable 50% deposit to reserve the date, with the remaining balance requested through Thumbtack after the shoot. • Professional headshots are paid in full before or at the time of the session. Final edited images are delivered within two business days after the shoot. I don’t provide RAW files, but the final image count is flexible and I include up to two rounds of revisions for edits.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up in my father’s photo studio in California and picked up a camera at an early age. In high school, after digital photography had fully taken over and DSLR video was just starting to emerge, I took a class that got me serious about building my own skills. From there I photographed sports, events, portraits, and weddings, and freelanced for media teams, theaters, and summer camps. That experience eventually led me into paid media management at marketing agencies, where I directed strategy and lifestyle brand photography for ecommerce clients.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with couples, families, small businesses, community groups, and marketing teams. My work has included weddings, portraits, summer camps, sports teams, and live events, as well as commercial photography for brands that needed images for ads, websites, and social media.
