oh my gosh we had the BEST experience with Zach as our engagement photographer! He’s super responsive (a serious plus) and when we let him know we had some nervousness about having our photo taken he made us feel so at ease before, during and after. I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer! My fiancé and I were traveling to Oregon and wanted to get engagement photos while we were there. Taras responded to me quickly and worked with me to find a package that worked for our budget. He had a lot of good locations for us to choose from which was appreciated since we didn’t know the area. The day of was absolutely perfect! My fiancé and I are not the most used to taking photos but he was amazing with instruction and guidance to take the best shots! I absolutely love his editing style and the pictures turned out amazing! He was very professional, kind, and a general awesome due to be around! My Fiancé and I had the pleasure of working with Taras to capture our engagement photos. From all the reviews I read and the images they share on their thumbtack profile, I knew their work was amazing. But I don’t believe the reviews or images do them justice. The experience of working with them was a pleasure, it was organized, insightful, and come our session Taras was on time and came prepared with poses and ideas. I don’t take photos often if at all and I found this to be extremely helpful and a stress reliever. I would also like to mention that on the day of our photos Taras was mindful of the weather and constantly asked if we needed breaks for water or anything else. By the end of the session Taras made sure we knew what to expect in regard to wait time and what the process of selecting our photos would be like. If you are going to hire a photographer I highly recommend Taras and Alla. We had a great time working with Taras and our final photos turned out amazing (the photos speak for themselves).

It could've all been a disaster, but it wasn't. Most people have the notion that super heroes wear capes and/or a mask, but I don't. Crystal Genes is a superhero, who by the way happens to be a professional photographer. Our engagement photo shoot was scheduled for a Friday evening but somehow, I had the belief that it was scheduled on Thursday. My fiancée payed for her makeup to be done that Thursday, we rushed home to get ready, we arrived at the meeting point for our shoot 15 minutes before the start time. And as I messaged Crystal that we were at the location, she messaged me back, confused because our photo shoot wasn't that day but the following evening. My heart sank immediately. I can't believe I was so anxious to take our engagement pictures that I "assumed" it was on Thursday instead of Friday. Luckily, Crystal and Rob were sympathetic enough to reschedule their Thursday evening plans to accommodate this last minute change for my fiancée and I. It could've been a disaster, but it wasn't. Zach went above and beyond (literally) taking our engagement photos. We hiked all of Misery Ridge and he kept finding great spots for unique shots, often running ahead or climbing on top of rocks. I could tell he had put a lot of thought into the shoot. I was also amazed at how quickly he edited all of our pictures and got them back to us.

Taras was so kind, personable, and really knew his craft. He made us laugh throughout the photo shoot and gave us a variety of backgrounds and poses to do. He would reposition my engagement ring if it was askew, or if there was hair in my face he’d tell us. All things that would bother me if I saw them later.
