- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is based per job, not per hour. Our first initial cleaning is a bit higher priced for a few reasons; thumbtack charges contractors (us) for customers to reach out to us - regardless if we get hired. We are a small business consisting of 3 people. Our pricing includes supplies and labor. Once we have a monthly, biweekly or weekly cleaning set the price does drop. If we are not on a consistent schedule the pricing will be priced as an Initial Cleaning.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to ask questions and make sure myself and the customer are on the same page. When the job has been completed, I like to do a walkthrough of the house to make sure nothing was missed and then check in every few cleanings to make sure the customer is still happy.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When the pandemic started and the world stopped, people found themselves at home. The dishes didn’t stop, the wiping down and sanitizing increased, the bathrooms were used much more often and the houses were now offices. I had stopped working to stay home with my kids and found myself constantly cleaning. When stores and schools started opening up again, I noticed there was still a high demand for cleaning and with housekeeping and condominium cleaning experience I put together this small business to get myself and my kids back on our feet.
