Introduction: I take a holistic and synergistic approach with all my clients. Within this context, I consider how hypnotherapy can best benefit them emotionally, mentally and physically. Additionally, if a client discusses their spiritual beliefs and experiences, I will consider those as well. A deeper understanding of the client provides a balanced framework of the whole person, thus allowing for a more effective, comprehensive treatment . As a licensed Practitioner of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), I integrate NLP processes throughout my sessions with clients. NLP enables you to understand exactly how your perceptions of the world bias your perceptions of people and events in your life, while also providing new ways in which you can alter these perceptions, quickly and effectively. Frequently, clients tell me how much they appreciate the way NLP facilitates their ability to make a change to their behavior, release fears, and learn to communicate more clearly with others. I've been fortunate to have worked in corporate business and television for 23 years, 11 of which were as a senior project director for a market research firm. On a personal note, I have also been a practitioner of meditation for 38 years. My corporate background has grounded me in the use of communication skills to motivate my clients in reaching their goals through hypnotherapy. Meditation has enabled me to focus in, and listen to my clients closely, perhaps to hear what is still unspoken, or to hone in on a subtle yet important detail, providing a key to their success through hypnosis. Occasionally, I combine other processes that provide deep insight into the challenges the client is facing, enabling them to have a “breakthrough” in clarity. Being a clinical hypnotherapist is a very unique experience, because a large portion of the time you're utilizing your subconscious mind, and not your analytical mind. I find that I'm very comfortable operating within this framework, where my creative and imaginative skills are at the forefront. Every client I see presents an opportunity to be innovative, to skillfully create an approach that addresses their condition, such that they are able to make a permanent change in their life. It is highly gratifying to see how my clients' success not only impacts their own well-being, health and career, but also the general happiness within their family. I find my work challenges me to work at my highest level of honesty, integrity, creativity and intellect.
