Hello, I’m Grace and experienced early childhood educator who has served local families for near these seven years! I’m excited to announce that I have summer availability for weekly tutoring sessions for pre-school, elementary and middle school children. I specialize in Early Childhood Education with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies, and have served local families for nearly seven years. (Multi-sessions with siblings are encouraged with opportunities to extend sessions during the school year!) Qualifications: -BA of Science in Child, Youth, and Family Studies at PSU (Latin honors) -Pre-Kindergarten teacher at a play-based, NAEYC-accredited preschool -Vast experience working as a tutor for children aged 4-16 years old -Experience assisting in classrooms at a diverse public school -CPR and AED certified for infants, children, and adults As a provider for young children, my goal is to ensure your child feels confident and comfortable transitioning into the next year. Whether you’re looking for a tutor to assist your child in comprehending tricky lessons, practicing upcoming standards, or simply brushing up on previous material for the summer, I’m happy to lend support to your child’s success! I am dedicated and passionate about the children and families I serve, and the strong bonds I build with my students help me authentically meet them “where they’re at.” If you are a parent of a younger child transitioning to Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten, I specialize in play-based sessions that strategically integrate fundamental knowledge for early learning and skills for classroom competency. Through rich crafts and activities, your child and I will practice early mathematical concepts, art and literacy, science, and strengthen practical skills like fine-motor control and social-emotional learning.
