- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every mural project is unique and one price does not fit all. Prices are determined by a dollar amount per square foot and that amount is determined by the complexity of the design. The design itself is $250 which also initiates the project and guarantees your spot on the calendar. If you have your own design, the $250 will go towards the total cost of the mural. A clear protective coating is an option for an additional cost, determined by the size of the mural. Prices: Prices run from $15-$30 per square foot and need to be priced individually. The price per square foot is lower for large murals. When asking for a quote, please include size and any ideas you have. Pricing for murals under 16 square feet will be negotiated on an individual basis, All jobs must total at least $500
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we'll discuss your project and come to an agreement on pricing, timing and the design. A payment of $250 initiates the design process and gets your project on the painting calendar immediately upon receipt. On the day painting is to begin, it is requested that the mural surface as cleaned and primed and the space in front of the wall is clear to make room for the painting process. Half of the cost is due upon arrival and the balance is due upon completion of the mural. When you are happy with the results, please write a short review for Thumbtack. :)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had the pleasure of working for Disney Consumer Products as a digital character artist for several years on staff and several remotely as a contractor. Other clients include or have included: Nickelodeon, Warner Brothers, Random House/Penguin and Lakeshore Learning materials. My education includes Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and several classes at the Animators Union in North Hollywood. I've also participated in numerous workshops and various classes around the LA area studying different mediums such as sculpting, life drawing/painting, design and storyboarding.
