FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Chinese herbal consultations, custom Chinese herb formulas, acupuncture treatments, cupping treatments, moxibustion, Chinese bodywork, lifestyle coaching, productivity coaching, help with dietary allergies and dietary changes, guidance about supplements, referrals to other natural medicine practitioners.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for a Chinese medicine / acupuncture practitioner, it is very important to pay attention to their training. Did they complete a full 3-5 year program focused on Chinese medicine? Are they fully licensed in your state of practice? These things should be easy to verify - nearly every practitioner will proclaim proudly where they were educated, and most state medical boards allow you to search for licensees on their website. I was educated at the country's premier institution for education in Classical Chinese Medicine, NCNM in Portland, OR. I did the four year program, with several extra-curricular trainings in classical Chinese herbalism. I loved my school so much, I didn't leave - I teach there to this day. I am fully licensed in the state of Oregon, and also National board (NCCAOM) certified in Acupuncture. I continue to extend my education every year, seeking out the best herbalists to train with.
