Introduction: We serve downtown and some surrounding areas, and we'd love to care for your pet(s)!
We are experienced, insured and bonded, and have great client testimonials on our website, downtownpdx.dog.
Our dog walking and cat sitting rate is $20 per 30-minute visit. This includes a free meet & greet to get to know you and your furry family.
We also provide the following services:
Overnight Pet Sitting ($70 per day): Long-term nighttime and daytime care in your home with three daily 30-minute walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, food/water, and any other accommodations.
Hourly Dog Sitting ($25 per hour): Short-term hourly care in your home or hotel with walks, playtime, and food/water.
We also use a GPS mapping tool to track routes for dog walks and check-ins for cat sittings. It includes regular updates with photos and notes via text message and email.
We will need your nearest cross streets to be sure we are a good fit.
I look forward to meeting you and your animal companion(s)!
We are committed to providing individual care tailored to your pet’s needs. No overwhelming pack walks. No sad, stressed out dogs lost in a sea of tangled leashes. Just your pup and us—having the best time on our dog walking adventure! We value quality of care over quantity of clients.
We prioritize earning and keeping your trust. Leaving your home and loved one to a stranger is a big deal, whether it’s for a 30-minute cat sitting or an overnight pet sitting. We understand that. For this reason, insurance and bonding is our baseline from which to do more. This includes a GPS mapping tool to track routes for dog walking and check-ins for cat sitting. It also includes regular updates with photos and notes via text message and/or email.
We want to make your pet’s day! We don’t walk, play, and cuddle just for fun. Well, we do, but for mutual fun. Our goal is literally fun for everyone!
Downtown Doggies is locally owned and operated by Richard Bidmead in downtown Portland, Oregon. Prior to founding his own company, he worked for others in Los Angeles and Portland. During this time, he cared for hundreds of dogs and cats. His love of animals stems from his childhood dog, Macky, who passed away in 2011. In her memory, he dedicates Downtown Doggies and the care it provides.
