Janna did overnites for my recused pit pull mix. I was most impressed with her patience, knowledge and ability to connect and be accepted by him which led to a bond between them and allowed her to come watch him whenever we went out of town. Unfortunately he recently passed away but he truely had a friend in Janna.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
absolutely. there aren't very many "official" c.e. offerings for pet sitting, but i read & learn whenever i can.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
when i was 15, my brother did yard work for one of my mom's coworkers. when she went out of town, she had him take care of her dogs while she was away. the next time she went out of town, my brother was going up to wild waves water park to go bungee jumping, so i stepped in in his place. it was me ever since. my mom worked for the center for health research of kaiser permanente who had an internal electronic bulletin board (in the mid 90s!). whenever anyone posted about needing a pet sitter, she replied to the post telling them to contact me. and voila! i'm a professional pet sitter.
