New Melody Project

We are a progressive piano studio with two locations in Portland, OR We believe in a very individualized approach to teaching music. We look at your strengths and weaknesses and suggest a path of learning best suited to your goals using various methodologies from Russia, UK, France and US. Our students set clear learning targets and pick their own project(s) in any genre at any level. We believe in conceptual teaching for all levels using visual charts to explain theory and demo how music is systematized and why. We help you see the big picture and all its components right away so it does not take years to learn this information. Our services include sightreading instruction, personalized piano technique suggestions, hand coordination strategies, blues and jazz piano technique, rewriting pieces in different genres, music theory from the composer point of view as well as intentional music & lyrics writing lessons, playing by ear & solfège, recording music and vocals, DAW basics and sound mixing. We have several years of experience teaching neurodivergent students and offer musical therapy sessions. We provide recap follow-up assignments messages after each lesson and all printed materials are included. ABRSM and Trinity College Syllabus/Testing available. We are composers of neoclassical as well as ambient electronic music and have been studying piano for over 40 years in France, UK, Russia and US. We love helping students realize their dream of composing music!
