Introduction: I like to schedule sessions in the morning, before the day gets rolling. People are relaxed and ready. I bring a foam roller, thera-band and large or small exercise ball. Sometimes music plays in the background. I plan my sessions ahead of time, considering the last session we had, what the long term goals are and if there have been any recent pains or injuries. Sometimes you may feel strong, tight or achy. Then we settle on the mat and begin. We breathe, stretch, strengthen, challenge weak areas and breathe some more. I make subtle adjustments teaching mostly verbally though sometimes I get to demonstrate. I use basic anatomy language and try to keep things simple, building each session upon the last, creating gradually more challenging movements. Pilates can seem complicated. I approach each client with a can-do attitude. If there is any discomfort I change our plan to allow support. We really get those abs to do their part!
I love helping people feel better.
