I really enjoy the wide variety of situations that my photography career puts me into, from weddings to amazing live music performances to one-on-one portrait shoots with fascinating people.
I'm a people person. I'm also a documentary filmmaker, and I'm very good at establishing a rapport with people and making them feel comfortable in front of the camera.

We hired Karney to photograph our daughters birthday party and it was a great experience! Karney is unassuming - he unassumingly gets right in there - which allows him to get really great shots. I kept forgetting he was even there. And, then today, we received the photos and they were GREAT! Just want we had hoped for both in quality and quantity. We are so grateful for his talent and will definitely be hiring him again for future photos. Thank you Karney!

Karney is a dynamic documenter of reality, choosing vibrant topics for his storytelling, and enhancing them with his keen eyes, ears, and skills. I have enjoyed his photo and video work at the Village Building Convergence and other community events. His passion for environmental and human sustainability ignites these important topics and projects them to a wider audience. He also did yoga portraits with me, and we had so much fun--he makes a person feel very comfortable with the camera, natural, and beautiful. He is in the right field for combining his appreciation of, and creative flair for, the art of life.

Karney photographed our outdoor wedding. He was fantastic. It was in the forest with odd lighting and this worried me a little. However, the photos all turned out amazing. They looked like they were straight out of a fairytale. Not only were the photographs wonderful, but Karney was really great to work with as wrll. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this photographer.

Karney captures amazing moments and has a keen eye for recognizing them in the moment which is the kind of sensitivity you need to be as good as he is. He's a great photographer, I recommend him highly.
