She takes such delicate time to get to know you and your partner, what had you fall in love, special moments you want captured, and more. Not only does she use her digital camera, she does film too! And not only that, we have Polaroids we got to take home immediately. The combination of immediate gratification, surprise, and anticipation is a wonderful touch to her work. Not to mention, our photographer quit a week prior from the company we were using and Shawna made it happen in a week!!! Kelly Mooney is a consummate professional...she mixed an amazing amount of technical skill together with a great, casual atmosphere to help me get the best out of our photo session. I was a little nervous, as I haven't had my picture taken professionally since high school, but Kelly made me feel super comfortable, which made a difference in the images (I look happy and relaxed!) Kelly's untouched proofs were confirmation that she is a fantastic photographer...I was profoundly satisfied with the results, and would recommend her all day long! Patrick was amazing! I went yesterday with my fiance to get headshots for my business and also a few engagement photos. We got there a bit early, so Patrick chatted with us and invited us to have something to drink and enjoy his stash of Halloween candy. After I got my hair done (you can also get your makeup done), Patrick and I went into the studio space while my fiance hung out and worked on homework in the other room. Our appointment was at 10:30 and we were there for three hours because I wanted to be sure we'd get lots of options. I changed my outfit at least eight times, and Patrick was patient and willing through it all. He was also extremely encouraging, friendly, and respectful. He helped me relax and feel as comfortable as possible. I likened it to doing the sort of thing a high school girl might do in front of the mirror (dancing around, making "model" faces, etc.), but in front of some stranger with a camera instead. Thankfully, he quickly put me at ease and even included my fiance by showing him the pictures he'd taken while I changed. If you're nervous about getting your photos taken, or you just want a fun and confidence-boosting experience, you should totally see Patrick. I'm looking forward to choosing some great shots!
