Hi Dawn, I’m sorry to hear that you felt dissatisfied with the experience. I take my work and communication with clients very seriously and always try to make scheduling expectations as clear as possible. In our message history, the timing discussed for the follow-up visit was after 7 AM the following morning due to my evening work schedule. I communicated that availability ahead of time and also provided updates regarding my travel and arrival status so you would know when to expect me. At a certain point, it appeared there may have been confusion around the timing. When that became clear, I attempted to communicate and resolve the situation professionally. For transparency, I also contacted Thumbtack directly to confirm their guidance regarding refunds in this situation. Their support team advised that because services had already been provided, a refund was not required under their platform policy. Despite that, I still attempted to discuss options and keep communication open in order to resolve the concern. During that conversation, the possibility of a review being connected to a refund was mentioned. One message stated: “I would be willing to still leave you 5 stars once my refund is received.” I believe reviews should reflect the actual service experience rather than being influenced by refund discussions. Additionally, after the situation escalated, my personal contacts were reached outside of the platform, which unfortunately made the situation more difficult. I believe it is always best for communication to remain directly between the client and service provider through the proper channels. Across the multiple visits and interactions we had, I also made efforts to help you feel safer by providing personal safety items at my own expense, including pepper spray and a taser. My intention throughout our interactions was to be helpful and ensure you felt comfortable. My goal with every client is to provide dependable service, clear communication, and professionalism. I encourage clients to confirm scheduling details so expectations remain aligned for everyone involved.
