I've had 6 lessons so far and each one has improved my singing technique in a tangible way. I have had several voice teachers in the past and Jesse is the first one to clarify many of the ideas that get thrown out to young singers and provide me with multiple connections to insure that the concepts not just stick but also translate into real improvement. He is extraordinarily patient when things are one inevitably unclear and also holds you to high but achievable standards. I hope to continue and grow with his instruction in the future.
I was preparing for a brief singing part in a play. Sophia was able to bring out a fuller sound in my voice. She also provided imagery to help me shape the sound (open your throat as if there is an apple in in it.) Sophia is skilled, kind and patient. I felt a bit overwhelmed, however, with her knowledge of physiology which is beyond my level.
Deanna is FANTASTIC! We honestly went to another piano teacher with our son previously and he was not engaged. She is patient, energetic and consistent - he is SO excited every time it is lesson day. Could not recommend her highly enough!
Jonathan Sherrill is an incredibly talented and professional guitar player and singer. Amazing vibe and positive attitude to accompany his shredding level skills. Jonathan is a 10/10!
I was really making headway with my singing, she's great!
Gene Greer was an excellent voice and piano teacher for my daughter, Iman. He took her from being a beginner to being an accomplished player and singer. He combined traditional training and sight-reading with by-ear work, mixing classical, popular, folk and other types of music. He was great, both as a teacher and a coach. Gene is also an accomplished writer, having written both songs, prose, and nationally-broadcast news stories and documentaries. He has won multiple Emmys and other national awards. I strongly recommend Gene for anyone wanting to learn guitar, singing, beginning piano, or writing. Moumen Al Khachi Beaverton, Oregon
I started voice lessons with Bre on a bit of a whim, hoping to get brave enough to sing in blues jam sessions. I am so glad I did! My singing and my confidence are improving steadily, in a way that matches my own individual ambition and goals. Bre is also a blast to work with: she is clearly enjoying our lessons as much as I am, and she makes them fun. And here's an added (unexpected) bonus: The breathing techniques I'm learning from Bre to improve my singing are also a totally amazing stress release!
I have worked with Emily on multiple occasions as performer, lecturer, and educator. Emily is outstanding at what she does. She is a great singer and performer, an intense and dedicated, creative and innovative musician, a responsible, dependable, and articulate director and leader, and a sensitive, caring, and effective teacher. She is an entrepreneur, a humanitarian, and a focused business-person, and I recommend her highly.
My parents, their guests, and our family enjoyed the music Dee provided for their party SO MUCH! It’s a week later and people at the Bonaventure are still talking about it – particularly how wonderful the music was. Dee brought back many special memories for the whole group with excellent song selections and beautiful singing. I am very pleased Dee was able to find music for my parents’ favorite songs – it added a personal note and really touched their hearts. The extra effort he went to in finding the music and rehearsing the special songs was really appreciated! I also admire how prepared and organized Dee was with his equipment – It was a quick set up and his attention to safety and access were terrific. It was a very happy occasion for all of us. Dee really added to its specialness.
Logan helped with our daughter's wedding in March. He provided beautiful music before the wedding with a band member, the procession and during the wedding ceremony. We had specific songs that the bride and groom wanted and he learned them and played them perfectly. He provided the PA system for the event, and it was obvious that it was top of the line because everyone could hear the music and the vows. His voice carried the wedding ceremony. Our guests were in awe of Logan's band and voice. The band then played fun music during the meal. He asked what type of music the bride and groom wanted, and was able to adjust their playlist to provide perfect music to dance to. Logan did all of the DJ duties and announced the bride and groom, toasts, cake cutting, first dance and when the evening went into party mode, he became the DJ with a great playlist on his sound system. We couldn't have been happier with the way he handled the entire event. He is an amazing musician and carried the wedding. It was a flawless event thanks to his PA, Band and his musical talent, as well as abilities to MC the entire event. We are grateful!
I recommend Andrea Tomasi most highly. She was a singer at our wedding ceremony this past winter. We had to put something together pretty quickly and she jumped right in and found a wonderful guitarist to back her up. Truly one of highlights of our wedding. This is a very talented young artist and I only wish I had another occasion I could hire her for.
Ky Burt taught my kids ukulele and they loved it! He brought a vareity of instruments that allowed them to explore different sounds. The entire lesson was filled with laughter, singing, and two very happy girls. As a professional musician he was able to quickly and competently adapt to the needs of young kids (ages 3 & 5) and open a whole new world of self expression for them. I plan on having Ky Burt back to continue lessons with my kids once he is back in Colorado on tour.
Sarah Clarke is one of the finest performers I have worked with in my 8 years as a professional musician. She brings incredible energy to every performance or rehearsal and I have never heard her have an "off" day. She blows me away every time we play together and inspires me to play at my highest level. On top of all this, she is one of the most sincere and caring people I know.
It has been thirty years since I have been in a choir so I was really scared to start singing again. Jena is enthusiastic and encouraging which makes me feel very comfortable. I am slowly gaining confidence and Jena is helping me with reaching my goal of eventually joining a choir.
Jack is an excellent teacher. He teaches me how to pronounce the vowels and consonant so my voice will blend with other singers. He also teaches me to have good posture when singing. He is always on time. Jack knows a lot about using my voice the right way so he teaches me everything that he knows so that I can use my voice to the best of my ability. He encourages me by letting me know that when I sing, I am conveying a message through singing. He inspires me to do my best.
Good at this point of time. Will give more details after the Event
Hired his band years ago and have hired him annually ever since! Lots of fun, great music and musicianship, and super nice to get along with. They have great energy together, and the lead singer can REALLY belt it out! Wished their playing would never end.
If you want an R&B/pop female singer who provides both sultry and standout sounds along with real performances, then I'm your girl. I have been taking lessons for over three years. I don't just sing, I provide a show. I entertain. I love singing oldies (50s-80s) and current hits. Anything where I can belt is my favorite, but I can also have a light and breathy sound.
I have performed in two theatre shows as supporting and lead roles, as well as small performances within my church and HS. I have a jazz style voice, with a special desire to sing at weddings.
I have been playing events and performing for over 10 years in New York City and now in the Pacific Northwest. I can play solo acoustic or bring a band for bigger events. I am very reliable and very professional.
