Introduction: > Technical writing specializing in information mapping, procedures and generating graphics needed to clearly explain content to the reader/user. > Managing documentation projects by coming up with timelines/milestones and setting up review meetings with subject matter experts (remote or local). Track milestones on a regular basis to ensure documentation projects are delivered on time. > Experience with Arbortext and XML authoring, checkin and checkout from a document repository. > Experience using the following tools: FrameMaker (long doc projects), Word, Visio (charts), PowerPoint (presentation slides), Arbortext (authoring in XML), Paint and Coral Draw (drawing graphics), SnagIt (capturing content from the screen), Sharepoint (posting files), Acrobat Reader and Writer (can generate .pdf files and manipulate table of contents and security of these files). > Lots of experience working with remote subject matter experts (in state, other locations in the US as well as international locations (India, Panang, Russia, Peru, etc). > Personal philosophy: The writer should go through all the gyrations of getting the content right so the reader does not have to waste time understanding what they are reading.
