Introduction: For the past decade, I have been working with couples and individuals in crisis to turn their lives and relationships around. I love what I do because I work with people who come in quite depressed, angry, resentful, anxious or just scared, and it is amazing how lives transform when people have the right supports in place. With more than 12,000 hours of counseling experience and a clientele that has ranged in age from five to 92, my speciality is depression and couples in crisis. I have trained personally and intensively with the two top couples' therapists in the nation -- John Gottman and Terry Real. I am a certified, relational-life therapist as well. When I work with a new client, my first question is usually this: "If our work together were a stunning success, what would that look like to you? How will we know when we're done?" I take a very warm and compassionate approach, and yet, a very direct and challenging approach as well. Too often, counseling creates "feel-good" moments without lasting change.
