I have traveled around the world to places like Somalia, Rwanda, Sudan, Egypt, China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Croatia, and Albania to tell stories.

I've known Ben Brink nearly 25 years... as a volunteer at a drop in center for homeless youth. He's still a favorite with many of the youth now adults as they remember him fondly. He gifted us with his time helping youth pick out prom clothes, helping the boys learn how to tie a tie and helped serve them a hot meal each week. The photos he took of the youth captured them in their natural environment as well as the transition that took place annually as they got ready for prom. I loved the way he told many of his stories with photos and at times with his words with his love of the zoo animals, the conflicts overseas of our soldiers as well as our resilent homeless youth of Portland, OR. His heart, compassion and creative work will be missed here. He needs a broader platform to share his skills and talents in photo journalism as he's the total package. His integrity, dependability, loyalty and class is outstanding.
