FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Projects are too varied to have a standard pricing system. For example, based on a client's needs, some editing projects require very little editing while others involve multiple reviews. Another example - some ghostwriting means taking an idea and fully developing it while others mean taking a fully developed concept and sticking to an outline the client provides.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We initially meet or talk on the phone. The client describes the projects. We ask each other lots of questions so I understand what the client needs and that the client understands what I provide. When the client is comfortable with my services and believes I'm a good fit, we establish a timeline with specific milestones. Sometimes the client wants to do specific parts of the project, and we establish how much help the client will want with that. We discuss my responsibilities and the client's expectations. We communicate frequently through the project to ensure things are going according to schedule and that the client is satisfied with the work underway. Often this is done through email.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's in writing and have worked as a writer for the past 20 years. I have had feature articles published in national magazines and fiction in literary journals. For a writer, the best type of continuing education is reading everything in sight....web content, novels of all kinds, non-fiction.
