Our Approach
We provide individualized reading and writing instruction via Zoom for students ages 6–18. I hold a Master’s degree in Classical Studies (Literature and Rhetoric), and I use a classical, time-tested approach to help students think clearly, read well, and write with confidence.
We use a systematic phonics approach that teaches students how to decode unfamiliar words using strong letter-sound knowledge—building independence, not guesswork.
Reading Comprehension
Students learn to break down texts, identify central ideas, and communicate their understanding clearly in both speaking and writing.
We furnish students with a clear framework for writing. They learn to read primary sources, extract key ideas, and organize them into strong outlines that lead to original compositions.
Grammar and Morphemes (NEW)
Students study grammar and meaningful word parts (prefixes, roots, suffixes), strengthening vocabulary, spelling, and overall reading success.

Stacy has been a blessing for my daughter. My daughter is in the sixth grade and was performing on the fourth-grade level. After 1 month with Stacy, I am proud to say that my daughter is performing on the seventh-grade level. Stacy is an advocate for fundamentals. Stacy Cherry is simply phenomenal! I ordered an assessment for my niece and although we had some shifts in schedules on both sides, communication was easy we were still able to get the assessment done! Stacy’s interpretation of the test results shine through in her attention to detail and her uncanny ability to see a child’s spirit. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I provide a free 30 minute phone consultation to get to know you and your student.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first like to assess the type of student you have. Are there any learning processing challenges to be considered such as ADHD, dyslexia, executive functioning, or sensory processing difficulties to be addressed? I will work with your student one on one while also helping equip you with tools and skills to help your learner.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Master’s degree in Classical Studies (Literature and Rhetoric) and bring a breadth of experience across both classical and specialized educational settings.
I have taught in small seminar-style classrooms (8–10 students) through Classical Conversations Inc., where I provided instruction in English grammar while integrating the Institute for Excellence in Writing curriculum to develop students’ composition and rhetorical skills.
I also served as an instructor with Help Elevate Learning Processes (formerly Help Eliminate Learning Problems), working with both children and adults to remediate learning difficulties and strengthen underlying cognitive processing abilities.
