I found Stephanie to be a reliable, invaluable help all along the LONG road to my children's story. She was so patient and kind to me, a novice writer! Her professionalism was outstanding. My story was greatly enhanced by her tactful suggestions. When she made a change I immediately saw how excellent it was! She also has a firm grasp of the structure of our difficult language. The cost of her services was VERY reasonable and I never hesitated to ask her questions, which were promptly answered. I would use her again without hesitation and will gladly answer any questions regarding her expertise. The only drawback was the distance between us in miles. It would have been delightful to have had a nice visit with her over a cup of hot chocolate. (With marsh mellows, of course!) Sincerely, Ruth Foster--(budding author!)

I am an aspiring children's book author and illustrator. Leslie was very generous in offering her time to coach me in her knowledge of the publishing industry. She provided a wealth of information drawn from many years of "hands on" on experience in the industry. I consider Leslie an expert coach in regards to writing, working with publishers and the editing process, networking, sales, strategic planning, event and resume building, and marketing. Other items Leslie helped me with involved building a clear mission statement and philosophy for my book series, the importance of conducting market research for advantage, web site building, social media and the use of youtube, and establishing connections through active marketing. Leslie also critiqued my books and provided valuable feedback. Her feedback involved ways to improve my illustrations, and introducing more character dialogue into my stories. Her tips have been instrumental in the improvement of my books, marketing, and writing style. The coaching offered by Leslie laid out the fundamental building blocks to design and implement a strategic plan for my business. I use her tips and core principles as a continuing guide and source of encouragement. I would highly recommend Leslie as a consultant or coach, and greatly appreciate her efforts to follow up with my on my progress.

Ever since I can remember, Jason has been studying music. A writer, producer, manager, studio extraordinaire, he is everything music. Since we were kids all I can remember is just experimenting, that was the most fun of all because when you are young and you have the same passion as your cousin sitting right next to you, as you experiment with different sounds and styles, you create magic. I will always remember all the times we would stop jamming (him on guitar and myself on drums) and just look at each other like, wow, that was freaking awesome. We always had a chemistry and really I think it's because we just come from the same blood line as our highly talented grandfather who was a very respected drummer in the Delaware County area in Pa. As time went on and we became older, Jason really took off. His dream to open his own studio always stayed in the back of his mind through college and it motivated him and gave him the drive of the musican he is today. The thing about Jason is that he is humble. Sure, everyone wants to get paid but with Jason it's all about the music. He generally just wants to learn off of new artists and their sounds/styles and also give his feedback to them. It's all about bouncing ideas off one another in the studio, that's how the magic happens. Couldn't begin to explain the countless hours staying up listening to tracks over and over but that makes a great producer. I remember the Hobokan, NJ studio session and how accomplished we felt after just a weekend there. We really put in some work but most of all had fun whenever we made music together. Today, Jason would say he still has a lot to learn just because that's how humble he is but I would say he is at his strongest point in his career right now. With his own studio business growing and his ear for catchy music better than ever, I would encourage anyone who was looking for a producer/engineer to take the time and use this guys knowledge. He knows a lot at such a young age and I only wish I could be around more to experience the magic with him.

David had responded to a Craigslist post I had made requesting the services of a writer to formulate my artist biography for publicity purposes. Amidst a slew of amateur responses, the professional demeanor in which David initiated our correspondence made me realize he might be the one, but that he would probably be far beyond my budget. I had never had a proper artist biography before and was overwhelmed by the process, but David guided me through with a fool proof, open-ended survey that would help me describe my life experiences as well as my history as an artist in a succinct manner. He assured me that he would know how to edit my lengthy responses since the survey was the same one he'd become accustomed to using for his company as editor-in-chief of MUTE Magazine, and he was right! When I received the final product, I was astonished! David's turnaround time was so prompt, and he was welcoming of any additional edits I had in mind. When I braced myself for the cost of the bio, David surprised me once again by not bursting my budget, and even asking if he could feature me in his magazine! As I've gotten to know David since our chance meeting, I've learned that he is genuinely the professional that he exudes on a daily basis. By hiring him, you will get the quality you desire with no corners cut!

I recently emailed K&F Fuhrman Enterprises, LLC asking for a quote for her services for our bi-monthly newsletters. I felt that her pricing was very reasonable. The content that was provided was just what I was looking for. I know it is difficult to find the write content writer and with K&F Fuhrman Enterprises, LLC I felt that it was a match. I have used other content writing services and have not been so lucky with the end results. She knew of the topics and you could tell of that in her writing. When she did not know of the topics, she researched the topic in order to provide the piece requested. With K&F Fuhrman Enterprises, LLC , I was more then pleased and look forward to working with her in the near future!

Matt designed a website for my company. He met with us and discussed our needs and developed a very in-depth website that is very user friendly for the customers, as well, as easy to use on our back end. Whenever we encountered a problem, he was just a phone call away, and the problem was quickly resolved. His customer service is excellent and I would highly recommend him. Besides, designing my website, he has also redesigned my business cards and had them printed for me for a very reasonable price!

How do you hire a good grant writer?

Grants are available to nonprofit organizations, for-profit businesses that qualify for government grants, and individuals who qualify for foundation or government grants. Hiring a good grant writer can help you gain funding in your chosen field. According to the American Grant Writers’ Association, grant writers can help you research potential grant opportunities; write grant proposals, create budgets, and build budget narratives; review written materials before you submit; prepare a business plan; analyze your organization for grant competitive qualities; prepare research grants; help with 501(c)(3) applications for nonprofits; and more. Investing in the right grant writer could result in a financial win for your organization. Generally no licenses or certificates are required to be a good grant writer, but you may want to find a grant writer who has been certified (not just received a certificate of completion) by a reputable organization such as the Grant Professionals Certification Institute. Qualities to look for in a good grant writer include:

      • Proven success writing winning grants, especially in your target area.
      • Strong writing skills.
      • Strong math skills and demonstrated proficiency with budgeting.
      • Careful attention to detail — brilliant grant proposals may be rejected just for formatting errors, so you want someone who follows instructions explicitly.
      • Expertise in your target area.
      • Punctuality and good communication skills.

How much does a grant writer cost?

Hiring a grant writer can give you a competitive edge when applying for financial grants for your business or nonprofit organization, or as an individual. The cost to hire a grant writer can vary depending on their academic background, areas of expertise, previous grant writing success and years of experience. According to the Grant Professionals Association, grant writers should be paid hourly or by flat fee. It is unethical for a grant writer to accept a commission or percentage compensation of grant monies received. They can, however, be awarded bonuses in line with the hiring company’s prevailing practices. Here are some examples of average grant writing fees:

      • Hourly rate for grant writers with less experience or fewer grants awarded: $25-$35 per hour.
      • Hourly rate for grant writers with some degree of success: $35-$75 per hour.
      • Hourly rate for grant writers with proven success winning large grants: $75-$150 or more per hour.
      • For a smaller grant, the writer may charge a flat fee of $200-$500 for preparation and submission.

Pricing may also vary based on the complexity of the grant application. A federal grant that requires pages of research, budgets and a business plan may take more than 30 hours to prepare. For a high-level grant writer who charges $100 per hour, this means $3,000 or more in grant writing fees.

Most grant writers will provide you with a total cost estimate before agreeing to the work. You may be required to pay a deposit up front, or the grant writer may work from a retainer. Often, seasoned grant writers pay for themselves in the long run by writing successful grants.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
