FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our typical pricing for LVP floor installation is $1.80 per square foot. If we need to remove existing carpet, laminate, or floating floor, there’s an additional charge of $0.50 per square foot. We also include a floor prep fee ranging from $150 to $250, depending on the condition of the subfloor. There may be extra charges if furniture needs to be moved, toilets need to be removed/reset, or if shoe molding is being installed. This gives a general idea of our pricing, but to provide an accurate quote, I need to visit the job site.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, I like to start with a quick conversation to understand their needs—what kind of flooring they want, the space size, and any special requests. Then, I usually schedule a visit to take measurements and check the condition of the subfloor. After that, I provide a detailed estimate and timeline. Once everything is approved, we schedule the installation. I always keep communication open during the whole process to make sure the customer feels confident and informed from start to finish.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of my training has been hands-on, which is one of the best ways to learn in this trade. I was trained by a skilled friend who taught me everything from surface prep to finishing details. Over time, I gained experience working on different types of flooring—like vinyl, laminate, and hardwood—and I’ve learned how to handle various tools and materials professionally. Every job has helped me sharpen my skills, and I’m always looking for ways to improve and stay up to date with the best installation methods.
