RudeWood is a refreshingly artistic custom design workshop in Lancaster, PA. Using innovation and creativity to fabricate timeless designs throughout eastern Pennsylvania, Co-owners Alex Rudegeair and Jeremiah Linton, are taking reclaimed woodworking and home renovation to a new level of artistry.
Earlier this year, my husband and I were looking for a barrel wine rack to add to our finished basement. We had an idea of what we wanted, and after numerous searches at local furniture stores, artisan shops, and on line, we also knew exactly what we did not want. Being very familiar with Alex and Jeremiahâs work, we reached out to them for some inspiration and design ideas. Within just a week or so, they came up with what would become a uniquely creative, beautifully designed and finished 48-bottle wine barrel stave wine rack and buffet fully fitted with a slide out cheese board made from the barrelâs lid. Although wine stave racks are available all over the internet, what RudeWood created was unlike anything I had ever seen. The entire piece was hand crafted from a Napa Valley wine barrel and nearly all pieces of the barrel were used.
