Lin Braddick is one of the best instructors I have had in my 20 years experience horseback riding. She has the love and patience to work with young/novice riders but also the educated eye to progress with the more advanced. She teaches the true fellowship of horsemanship in and out of the ring.

AMAZING!!!! I cannot even tell you how much I have learned at the Book Family Farm!!!! I was riding for a good 5 or 6 years before I came to the farm and I still learned about dressage, jumping, equitation, western games, trail riding, training and teaching!! Mrs. Book gave me the opportunity to train some of her horses for her and through that I learned what I was truely capable of!!! I grew as a rider and person!! It became a family for me!! I also learned about general care of horses and vet care through owners of horses that had injuries, even though the horse had an injury it was still amazing to see how the vet was able to help the horse overcome its injury!! I also have been able to ride many different horses with very different personalities!! I also was able to buy my first horse from Mrs. Book, I had been training him for a year and a half and I decided I wanted to buy him and take him to college and she had no use for him so i was able to work out a deal with her!!! Mrs. Book gives all her students great instruction from dressage and jumping to western games and trail riding!!! It is an amazing place to be!!!!

I've known Susan for years and had often volunteered at the stables so I was familiar with their horseback riding program. When my daughter got older and wanted to take lessons, I knew of only one place I could trust - Camp Hebron. I was confident Susan would keep her safe and also start her out riding correctly. Now my daughter is often complimented on her riding skills. We drove up from Harrisburg so she could take lessons in Halifax. It's worth the drive!

This lady is an amazing horse person. Ellen not only can read the horse she knows what the owner needs. Ellen has helped me with my confidence in riding and trusting my new horse. I board my horse at Kings View because I know she will be getting the best personal care she could. I never worry about her being out in bad weather she always has plenty of hay and water, Ellen changed blankets all winter I never had to ask her to do anything, Ellen even fly sprays her and puts swat in her ears. Ellen is always involved in my horses care from the farrier to the chiropractor. Kings View Acres is the most peaceful family oriented barn I have ever been to. Having Abby here has been such a positive experience for us both. I can not thin k of anything Ellen could do to improve Abby's life.

I recently contacted Louise through the Thumbtack site to obtain riding lessons for my 6 year old step daughter, Ella. Ella has been riding for 2 years but recently saw my father take a bad fall from his horse. She since has been afraid to ride and has lost her confidence. While researching trainers for Ella......I called several, along with their barns, and sent emails as well. I honestly must say that I did not have good results. My calls were not returned nor where my emails answered. Except by Louise. She promptly returned my emails and we had a lesson scheduled in no time. I explained Ella's dilemia with Louise and she felt confident that in time she would be able to help Ella get her confidence back and enjoy riding again. She answered all my questions and is very pleasant. Ella just had her second lesson last Saturday and I can already see improvement. Louise is patient with her, attentive to her fears and her safety......all while listening to her sing the ABC song! Ella gets to ride a darling little pony named Rusty, who she feels comfortable riding. All the horses are well cared for and the barn is clean and tidy. Ella and I look forward to many more lessons with Louise!! Thank you! Angie Raker-Reinert

Devon Wallish provides me with confidence in the saddle and insightful information to help me improve my riding. Coming out of 2 surgeries and no longer a spring chicken, I love taking lessons from him, he helps me feel secure.

    About

Growing up, my life revolved around horses. It still does! I have been riding for as long as I can remember (since I was four). I have experience in Western and dressage but mainly focus on hunter/jumper for myself. Aside from physical riding knowledge and skill, it has greatly benefited me to learn about all aspects of horses and caring for them. In teaching lessons, I have found that the more knowledge you have to offer, the more interested the client becomes in furthering his/her own understanding of the animal under them. Lessons can be customized to suit the needs of each particular rider, whether he/she be young/older, beginner/advanced, or for more therapeutic reasons, all together. In addition to teaching people how to ride, I also have pretty extensive experience when it comes to teaching the horses themselves. Reconditioning is a constant necessity. Every time you ride, you teach your horse something, whether you realize it or not. It is extremely easy for a horse to pick up bad habits overtime. By working with the horse and showing the client exercises to do on their own, general problems are easily solved. Lessons/training prices are determined by time and travel distance.

    About

Beginner and intermediate riders enjoy a full hour in the saddle. I teach them to be quiet, confident and effective while riding a horse or a pony. Horsemanship, grooming and caring for a horse are also integrated into each lesson. For the rider who wants to compete, we go to horse shows. For the trail rider, we go to Paperchases in the spring and fall. References are available upon request.

    About

We offer trail rides through the beautiful countryside in Southern Pennsylvania. You will be riding well-trained and very pretty horses on our trails through the woods, crossing creeks, up and down hills and out in the open. You will see firsthand how much you can take in on the back of a horse. You will see wildlife in this quiet section of York County. We are only 45 mins from Balitimore, MD; 60 mins from Harrisburg, PA; and 40 mins from Gettysburg, PA. The owner, Anne, has been a horsewoman for as long as she can remember. She has made her love of horses into a business she loves. Anne, has been training horses, competing all over the country in rodeos, giving riding lessons, working with special-needs children and adults for many years. It gives Anne the patience and skill to take people out on the trails that have never been on a horse before. Whether you have ridden all your life or never touched a horse, you will love our horses. They aren't old hack horses, they are well-trained, responsive and user friendly. Children are welcome, ages 5 and up. My customers love the horses, and that it is a real trail ride. We have lots of repeat customers. We even have people that own their horses but come here to ride ours. Customers love our saddles, they are very comfortable and well-made. The customers love that we stress safety for the horses and riders at all times. We give trail rides all year-round. Come ride with us; you never know you may see a white deer, red-tailed hawks, bald eagles, raccoon, great-horned owls, coyotes, and white-tailed deer -- they are seen on most every ride. Give us a call, and you will not be disappointed.

    About

My work stands out from others who teach and train, because I focus on each individual student and their problem or difficulty areas. Many other trainers in the area run cookie cutter programs and don't focus on each student individually.

    About

We have a family atmosphere, with prices that working families can afford. Are horses are safe and reliable for total beginners. We specialize in confidence building. We do not push the students to show, show, show, unlike alot of stables around here. We are really the only stable around here that teaches horsemanship not just riding. We have an excellent safety rating.

    About
