Over 30 years experience in the field of drywall finishing, working on all types of walls in homes, commercial buildings and apartments. Drywall has been my career. Buildings varied in design across the country and I have worked in Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida and California; this has given me very diverse expertise. When I finish a job, I can see a tremendous improved difference. Makes me feel a great sense of accomplishment. I know that today, many drywall finishers do things a quick and easy way, which can lead to complications. I prefer to tell people what is best and let them decide. For example, I recently met a person who wanted to drywall finish OVER paneling. The easy way is to hang sheet rock over the paneling, which is what someone wanted to do for him. However, this is not the best solution as you then have electrical outlets that are set back too far, etc. and a drywall finisher is not going to fix this. I suggested coating the paneling since he wanted to keep it there; I wanted to drywall finish it, NOT adding an extra layer of thick sheet rock. I like that I have seen so much done in drywall finishing across the country; I know the "easy" ways and have met those that work this way. I like to handle each job as if it were my own house and do it the right way. That makes me feel good about helping someone.
