Introduction: I understand the necessary design principles of composition, form, repetition of line, shape and color to create harmony and excitement within a painting. Knowledge of how light and shadow play off of one another are also a vital element to any well balanced painting/mural. I am an artist with years of experience developing my skill as a painter who knows how to see how forms change as they move back in space. Also my willingness to think beyond the expected to create a unique piece of art is one of my greatest skills.

Lisa painted an extraordinary mural of a beach/ocean scene on adjoining walls in my family's vacation home. A picture of it doesn't do it justice - the detail and workmanship (workwomanship?) is heavenly!

Thank you so much! It was a pleasure and I especially enjoyed painting the sea gull on the post.

Great vision with a gentle sense. Enjoy individual elements with their upbeat character. Landscapes move the eye within inviting one to linger. Great style and mood defined by color. Enjoy her murals, banners, portraits, landscapes and whimsical characters. Great breadth of accomplishment.

Lisa did an incredible job on a family tree mural in my home. I had some ideas from web postings and she made the rough ideas a reality! I get wonderful compliments and I truly love my mural.
Muralist

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

My clients are diverse, however the most common theme of painting has been naturalistic, including, landscapes, plants, some animals and people. I paint in a strong "painterly" manner for most of my murals, where the end result, I have been told is that it looks like a painting, not a mural. I do not stencil or sponge on my paint, rather I brush on the paint and remove what is not necessary.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When looking for a muralist to create the vision or "feeling" that you have in mind, find an artist that you enjoy looking at their work. Interview the muralist by asking questions concerning how she may work, what medium he or she may use and approximate fee and if there are any additional costs. Remember that this mural will be on your wall for a long time so you want to love it. The muralist should be pleasant and professional.
