Introduction: I will take you step by step and explain actual application as well. I will teach you the true benefits of both Tai Chi & Qigong (Yang, Sun and Chen Style(s). I offer many types of Qigong exercises for stress relief and relaxation. If a person is looking to become more Confident in uncomfortable situations then I will teach you Wing Chun Kung fu for Self defense taking you step by step with techniques/ applications. I have been studying Martial Arts since 1966 (over 50 years). I have learn from some of the best teachers from China, Taiwan and USA . I am considered as one of the best in the area for Traditional Tai Chi, Qigong, In additional, I teach both (Wing Chun Kung fu and Northern Shaolin Kung fu) in this area. I love teaching Tai Chi, Qigong as well as Kung fu, I love seeing my students benefiting from me teachings. I love when a person see how these movements can truly have an impact on their lives. It's very rewarding to see students after a few weeks of training, are able to do things that they have never been able to do in the past .

I recently moved to West Chester, PA from California and wanted to find a reputable place to learn tai chi and wing chun. I gave Sigung Smith's school a try and was instantly hooked. I drive 30 minutes each way to attend his classes and it's well worth it. He is welcoming and meets all students at their personal skill level. He takes great care to work with each student individually to help them develop their skills at their own pace. He is a true master of the arts and always willing to answer any questions. He fosters a supportive environment which makes learning not only easier, but a ton of fun! The lessons are not simply going over the movements, but also the history, the application, the benefits, and the original language. Sigung Smith truly loves what he does and always goes above and beyond what one would expect. He is not only an amazing practitioner of martial arts, but a fantastic teacher as well. There are a lot of great practitioners of martial arts in this world, but if you have the opportunity to learn from Sigung Smith, don't hesitate.

Sigung Smith is a phenomenal teacher on so many levels. He is renowned in national and international martial arts circles. I have seen this first hand in the few tournaments I have attended. Those in attendance, both Sifus and students treat him with the utmost respect. We are a family, always ready to welcome a new member. Sigung Smith is the one who has cultivated this atmosphere. I felt it when I first set foot in Northern Shaolin Academy. When I first walked into school seven years ago, I was not a very apt pupil, however, neither Sigung nor his senior students (now Sifus) would give up on me. I walked into our school an out-of-shape, overweight 50 year old and I would like to think I am now a competent Tai Chi practitioner. This did not happen by accident, but by diligent, constructive and kind direction from Sigung Smith. Knowing Sigung has enriched my life. I am very proud to be his student!

Sigung Smith is a knowledgeable and skilled martial artist. I have studied tai chi at the northern shaolin academy for the past two years, and it has been an amazing experience. I have gained strength, balance, endurance, flexibility, and confidence. Two thumbs way up.

Sigung is an excellent teacher who easily works with kids and adults. He creates a welcoming family-type atmosphere in the school, and is always willing to go the extra mile to help out a student.

First, I will offer them to try to come to my group classes for a free week at my studio, just to see what I can offer them. then if they want to have private classes as well then we can discuss it.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Normally when a new client calls me and meets with me, we talk about his or her concerns and what their goals are and what they want to accomplish.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been training in martial arts since 1966 (over 50 years) and I I continue to train in Chinese Martial arts Tai Chi / Qigong and Kung fu from my teachers from China and Taiwan.
