Jordan did an excellent job in grooming our Dog Bella. It was not easy job as Bella was matted a lot all over the place. Besides grooming work I liked the way Jordan treated Bella with care. We would recommend Jordan for Dog Grooming and would be comfortable boarding our Dog with her if we need it in the future.

Nicole is a fantastic trainer. She treated our dog as if he were her own! She has a real passion for training done in a safe, effective way. We were thrilled with the results. As we continued to train our dog on our own, we saw how important the foundation was that she had prepared for him. We recommended all our friends to her and have not had any regrets since!

I have been going to Camp Ruffcuts for over 15 years. My three Scottish terriers go for both grooming and to stay when we are away. Denise loves my dogs and they love her. ♥️ They get so excited when we start walking up to the house. I am never worried when I leave them for pet sitting. I couldn't imagine not having Ruffcuts to take my fur babies to. I have recommended Ruffcuts to others and they agree with me. Please don't use commercial groomers or boarding facilities. Give your babies the attention and love they deserve. You will never leave Ruffcuts once you go once. ♥️🐾🐾

I have learned tremendous information about my dogs and how to effectively communicate with them and set expectations with them since working with Angie. She has educated me about diet and training, and I am completely at ease knowing they are in excellent hands when I need boarding. As a matter of fact, they are "Country Clubbing" it at her facility and love being there. I am grateful to have such a knowledgeable and genuinely caring resource to help me be more effective with my dogs so both they and I can have even more enjoyment from our interaction. Thank you Angie, from me and the "Fluffernutters"! Sincerely, Leah

Jordan Is AMAZING!! We had our little boy "Spirit" groomed 4 days ago and he is like a BRAND NEW KITTY NOW!! So, of course, Spirit looks great. And, In fact, we have never seen him look better...ever. Jordan took care of EVERYTHING that one could possibly want done with grooming a cat. Therefore, her expertise in the area of grooming, is quite-evidently-obvious!! HOWEVER, there is more than that, that goes along with "Jordan's Touch"...much, much, more. Jordan has a way with animals, that is very, special. She has a gift. After being groomed by Jordan, our little Spirit has a brand new confidence about himself and his surroundings; He is vastly more energetic; And, he clearly has an overall better sense of well-being and happiness with life....all after being groomed by Jordan. My wife and I really can't get over it. We are incredibly happy with our entire experience!!! We both, HIGHLY RECOMMEND JORDAN for any and all of your " Little Baby's" grooming needs. Thank You for Reading, Have a Wonderful Day, Danny and Sharon Holbrook and Family-

Did an excellent job. No concerns what so ever.

I am a Certified Veterinary Technician and have experience boarding dogs in our home. I would love to watch your furry family member while you are away! I am home almost all of the time and when I am not here, my husband will be. So your dog would rarely be alone.

I have been showing dogs in dog shows for 12 years. I have basic grooming knowledge, and I do have dog training knowledge. I like to do hands-on and do not like needing to use aggression or aggressive behaviors towards the animal. I have also owned and ridden horses for 12 years. I still own and ride. I am willing to take care of horses as a sitter or as a part-time position. I am also willing to ride.

We are a luxurious pet spa on a 12-acre farm with a large fence in the backyard. All animals, big or small, are welcome. While the parents are away, the pets will play. Your pets will be treated as part of the family, and you will receive daily updates to ensure your pet is being well taken care of.

I provide loving care to your pets in your home or mine where they feel safe and secure. I will either make visits to your home where I will do all that is needed to ensure that your pet is happy and well-cared for, or I will board your dog in my home where they become part of our family on our 60-acre farm. Whether you have a long work day or you are traveling, I will do all I can to provide excellent care to your pets thus reducing stress and anxiety to you and your pets. I have had my business for over ten years. I take it seriously because as a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of having someone who is reliable, trustworthy, and great with animals. I believe our pets are members of our families, and I consider it an honor to be entrusted with the care of your beloved family member. If you are interested in finding out if my services are a good fit for your needs, please contact me, and I will be happy to discuss it further with you. You will find testimonials and photos on my website.

We are the oldest family-owned and operated dog training service in South Jersey. No one in South Jersey has trained more dogs, is better qualified, or will do more for you and your dog regardless of how much they charge. We are an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator specializing in therapy dogs, service dogs and dogs for families with children. We also offer a full dog boarding service for people traveling or going on vacation.

I own a home that my son made the garage into kennels he used to raise dogs. It has 4 kennels, and we have heat for the winter and air for the summer. I love and have a dog of my own, so dogs get walked daily and free time in the yard.

I'm a responsible individual who loves working with animals. After ending my time in the Marine Corps, I started school in the local area. I work with horses and dogs, and have been involved in training dogs for several years. I love all animals; I've volunteered at an equestrian center, interned at a veterinary hospital, and worked at a pet store in high school. I've surrounded myself with animals my entire life, and just love being around them.

Good day, and thank you for your interest in my assistance. I am a certified Behaviorist BCBA, and I have my behavior license through the State of Pennsylvania. I have the natural ability to work with and communicate with all animals. My services are diagnostic and problem solving of challenging behaviors. I prefer to meet in the natural environment in order to find out what is triggering the concerning behaviors. I have years of experience, and my true affection for animals makes me a great clinician. All breeds are welcome! I love them all.

I focus on WHY an animal may refuse to do a particular behavior. Most animals that have bonded to a person or family are more than willing to learn, it is simply a matter of figuring out WHAT will motivate that particular animal to JOIN UP and want to learn the requested behaviors.

We are a full-service grooming salon that specializes in pampering your fury friends. Once your pooch or kitty comes here, they never will get in the tub again. We also provide flea and tick removal, walks, boarding, and have more toys and treats than your animals would know to do with. Come and see what's all the barks about. We have recently been featured in Philadelphia Row Home Mag. Now we do DOG HAIR FEATHERS!!!!

I provide temporary care for all your family furry members, large and small. Vacation and emergency sitting is available. I am insured and bonded. Overnights are available at your farm or home. I love my job and have been around animals all my life. I do not use contractors, so you get me each time. I have vet and client references available, if needed.

We really care about your pet and will try to make it a great vacation for him or her. Grooming is done on an individual basis so your pet gets full attention.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does boarding a horse cost?

Finding the right horse boarding location is a big step in a horse owner’s life. This will be the place your horse will live and where you will visit multiple times per week or even daily. The cost of horse boarding will depend on the level of service you desire, the location of the stables, and the luxury level of the property. Here are some examples of average horse boarding costs:

  • Overnight stabling: $30 per horse per night.
  • Partial boarding (owner feeds and mucks): $220 per horse per month, with a three-month commitment.
    • Administration of oral medication: $10 per dose.
    • Bandaging: $20 per event, plus cost of materials.
    • Trailering to vet if owner is unable: $25, plus $25 per hour to wait with horse.
  • Basic full boarding: $325-$350 per month per horse. Includes twice daily hay and daily stall cleaning.
    • Horse training: $20 per session.
    • Pasture turn out: $20 per session.
    • Blanketing: $1 per day/$30 per month.
    • Vet or farrier hold: $20. This means haltering the horse and standing with it as it receives treatment or shoeing.

Where can I board my horse?

You can board your horse at any barn or stable that provides horse boarding services. To find horse boarding near you, read reviews of area locations and speak with equestrian friends to find one with a solid reputation. Ideally, the location will be within a reasonable drive from your home or office. This is especially important if you are paying for partial boarding services and are responsible for feeding your horse and cleaning its stall each day. You may choose your boarding barn or stables based on the services they provide. Some offer more extensive amenities — at an added price — that reduce the amount of work you need to do to keep your horse comfortable. Consider whether you want training, blanketing, exercise and other perks in addition to standard offerings like hay and stable mucking. Your stable may have temperament requirements and proof that your horse has the proper vaccinations required by your state. This protects both your horse and the other horses in the stable. Many states require that locations offering horse boarding services have stable licenses that are renewed each year. Always be sure to enter into a clearly written boarding contract that will cover your horse and belongings in case of accident, and remember our tips for smart hiring.

What is horse boarding?

Horse boarding is like rental housing for your horse. Horse boarding is helpful for people who don’t have the space or the resources to install and maintain a stable on their property. A horse can be housed in a barn with other horses and receive the care they need. Owners can visit their horse for riding, grooming, training, etc. Horse boarding services may vary based on the company and the price. Some horse boarders may offer short-term boarding of 24 hours to several nights for people passing through an area, while most offer boarding by the month for horses whose owners live in the area. There is partial- and full-service boarding, which indicates how much of the work of feeding the horse and cleaning the stall is the responsibility of the owner rather than the boarding barn. For an added fee, horse boarding can also include grooming services, riding and training, medication administration, and more.

To find the right boarding fit for you and your horse, make a list of your top priorities. These might include immediate access to riding trails, round-the-clock supervision, or a nearby or affiliated veterinarian. Always visit the site to learn exactly where your horse will be kept and whether the barn and grounds are in good condition. Read reviews, and always practice smart hiring. It’s also critical to sign the proper legal documents that protect both you and your horse, such as boarding agreements. Above all, make sure it seems like a place your horse will be comfortable between your visits.
