Introduction: Hi my name is Olive Bauers. I have over 20yrs specializing primarily within the kitchen and bathroom, or any space that requires cabinetry. My focus is on you the client I would always be upfront regarding cost, space constraint and time. Your space should be about you, your style, the way you want to live and my job is to take you through a world that can seem overwhelming with as little hiccup as possible. When I’m not designing I enjoy taking long walks, a drive to the big Apple spending time with my grandkids, entertaining, and my new found fun thing to do is dabbling with mixology. I look forward in working with you and creating a space you love.

Olive did such an amazing job designing my kitchen a few years ago that I called her back last fall to redesign my master bathroom, my master bedroom, my kids’ bathroom and a guest room. The design process was fun but very professional. She listened careful to my family’s needs and wish list, then guided us gently when needed to make the best decisions we could. She made herself available to go pick up materials and was reviewing our online selections promptly. She was coming on-site frequently to ensure that the contractors had all they needed and that communication was clear and constant. I did not have to worry about the project because Olive was on top of all the details. Our huge project was completed on time and within our budget. Every loved the final products. I will highly recommend Olive’s services.

Olive is the consummate professional with a real eye for beautiful, functional design. This is the third time I've hired her -- and that speaks volumes because I'm super fussy. Over the years, she has designed one bathroom and two beautiful kitchens for me (in 2 different homes). I'm a published cookbook author, so the functionality of my cooking space really matters. I absolutely love my Olive-designed kitchen. Not only is it gorgeous but it is also super functional. She made changes I would never even have thought about that have literally elevated my quality of life. And she had to work around some tricky elements like an old, Euro-style steam heating system that would have been super expensive to replace. Olive is on my speed dial for design changes.

We used Olive to measure and create floor plans for 2 major kitchen renovations, one with an expansion and the other with walls taken down. She did a great job and I have photos upon request. We are currently using plans she created for our master bath renovations. Highly recommend!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing starts at $85.00 for an in hour consultation a minimum of 2 hour. I do as much or as little that the client needs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to spend approx.10-15 min over the phone in finding out your needs. based on the conversation we both will know if we are a good fit and I will schedule an appointment to come out to the home that works with us both
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm certified as a kitchen designer(CKD) and also certified aging in place(CAPS).
