- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I loved math most of my school life. When I took Algebra in high school, my teacher was so excited about it, I became excited too. He was the catalyst for me becoming a math tutor and eventually a math teacher.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
When tutoring, I use real-life situations to relate the math concepts and I use mnemonic devices and rhymes to help them remember them as well.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently tutored an 8th grade student who struggled in math. With my help, not only did she bring her grade from a D to an A, she got accepted into one of the most prestigious high schools in Philadelphia.
