Introduction: We come to you for private music lessons! Having a qualified private music instructor teach a lesson in your home is an absolute luxury. Not only does it save resources driving, it also saves the most important resource - your time. - and we're thrilled to do it! Our teachers are highly qualified. They all have music degrees or equivalent work experience, and they are positive and professional with their students. Kids in music lessons are more confident in band and orchestra, and they have a network of friends and band members they will cherish for a lifetime. Our teachers have passed a background check, and they have made it through an audition screening process. We don't hire just anyone - we make sure they understand music theory, and they are top notch players.

Piano Lessons

SO very disappointed in this service. Very poor communication, lack of dependability, follow up, sticking to their word etc. Even though I felt bad the Teacher was ill no one kept in contact with me regarding having another teacher come out. Until I reached out to Tess (the owner) via thumbtack 4 days after to find out if we are getting a Teacher to come out the Sunday. I was unable to message her from my phone as their was no option to do that. But I used my husband’s phone and the message was sent?! Tess kept saying the Teacher will call me... almost 2 weeks, no call/message. That’s not one Sunday but two! Very sketchy indeed! I asked for a refund and reached out to another company on here. My 3 year old kept asking Mummy is the Teacher coming today! Unacceptable!
Traveling Music Lessons's reply
Hi Alana, We take covid very seriously during this worldwide pandemic. We couldn’t send your teacher, because he was exposed to covid. It is critical we follow covid procedures to keep our students and teachers as safe as possible. I communicated with you every time you reached out, and I let you know your teacher would call you as soon as he could, but that I was also asking other colleges if they could replace him. I can’t in good conscious send a sick teacher obviously. Your first lesson was scheduled for 9/26, and it is 10/3 today, so this all transpired over 1 week as we waited for a covid test and looked for a replacement, and communicated with you.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our rates are $30 dollars for 30 minutes, $45 dollars for 45 minutes and $60 dollars for an hour. This covers the cost of the lesson, and a $5 dollar fee is applied for resources used to get to your home.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Initially, we are thrilled to hear you want to work with us and join our music school. Once we hear from you, we will ask for your contract information (email and/or phone) and your scheduling needs. From there, we will reach out to our teachers and see who is available to accommodate your request. After we have booked the lesson, your teacher will arrive at your home during the designated time, and you will explore your inner musician!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Our teachers hold music degrees or equivalent work experience. They all pass an audition screen, and we make sure they are not only excellent players, but also educated in music theory and aural skills.
