FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The standard rates start at $125 an hour but go up from there the more work that's needed for a shoot. Costs vary but include: Digital storage and access, equipment such as camera bodies and lens, lighting like flashes and LED lights, then travel and miles.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process is that we connect either via Skype or FaceTime or in person to discuss photography, how I can help them, and what the customer's needs are -- it's all 'bout YOU and what you want. We share ideas using Pinterest or sending each other links, set the date, and then do the nitty-gritty: contract, deposit, and payment. Then it's fun time with the photoshoot!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Oh, education is so crucial. I have a background in art that goes as far back as my childhood with art lessons. Then I topped it off with a BA in psychology because I was so curious about how the brain works and what makes people tick. Then I topped all that off with a MS in communication. I still love to draw though and I will never not be a creative person.
