Introduction: I honestly love my job - for two primary reasons. I am immensely passionate about photography, and this comes through in my work. Every bit of free time I get is spent experimenting with different camera and lighting techniques, as well as editing techniques to draw out emotion. Secondly, I am a people person. I love being around others and helping them share their story so they have memories they can cherish forever. I feel fortunate to be behind the lens during often some of the happiest moments of people's lives. I take a photojournalist approach to all my shoots, which I see as akin to storytelling. In terms of weddings, this means yes, traditional formals and all the standard shots will be captured, but my primary focus is to capture those moments the way they naturally unfold. This allows my clients to revisit their wedding day scene by scene, without any of the process having been forced.

My husband and I were pretty much speechless when our photos came back from Grace! They were incredible well done and so beautiful! Grace and her assistant were amazing to work with, so creative and professional. We are lucky to have found her!! I would seriously not even bother looking for anyone else. Grace has been the most patient and kind person ever to work with. My husband and I are opening a flower shop, and the crazy renovations etc. of start-ups, has made working with us anything but predictable and easy. Grace has been accommodating,focused and generous in explains to us the process and what she will need from us. We missed a scheduled shoot and she gently let me know this was uncool in the most "graceful" way, while protecting her integrity as a working artist who is busy. Because she rocks. I hired Grace to shoot some family photos that we could use to send out to our friends and family. Grace did a good job at dealing with the craziness of our kids while also making the shoot fun. She is patient, and also moved around quick - one minute she'd be shooting a photo of my husband and I, and the next find her laying on the ground with our kids to get the perfect shot! Some of the moments she captured truly reflected the spirit of our kids. We couldn't be happier with the photos we took away from the experience!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started in food photography for various magazines, publications, and restaurants. This led to lifestyle shoots, which led to weddings. The moment I realized how much happiness can be brought through memorable and impactful photographs, I never looked back. I love my job, through and through. Each new shoot brings excitement. I find that when when the photographer has just as much enthusiasm as the subject, it generates a much more relaxed and fun experience for everyone - so important for getting that natural look and feel!
