About Desired Fitness

Desired Fitness provides quality personal training to clients in a variety of environments. I provide services ranging from motion and flexibility restoration to sport-specific training, such as golf. The goal of Desired Fitness is to improve the quality of life and leisure of my clients by providing individualized, goal-oriented fitness programs that are enjoyable and educational for my clients. I train men, women, and kids of all ages.

A personal trainer provides certain benefits that you can't find when working out on your own. Every year, millions make the commitment to get in shape and lose weight. Some have the motivation to start on their own while others lack the knowledge or the motivation. Whether you want to lose weight; gain muscle and more flexibility; move past a plateau; train for a specific sports; rehab an injury; prepare for a specific event like a wedding, vacation, reunion or prom; or just overall health, I can help you!

If the idea of working out in a gym horrifies you, and you are more comfortable in your own home but have a hard time knowing what to do on your own at home, I can bring fitness into your living room. In-home personal training is fast becoming the most efficient and comfortable way to get and stay in shape. We all have very busy schedules, and finding time to drive to and from the gym or fitness center is difficult. You do not need a lavish gym or a lot of equipment to get a great workout and start changing the way you look and feel. Very little equipment is necessary. Your training session can be in the comfort of your own home, at work, outside at a track, or even at your favorite park. You can even team up with a friend or your husband or wife.

Do you want a wider range of equipment or just simply like being in a gym atmosphere and would rather train there? You can do so as well. I currently train clients out of Phoenixville Health and Fitness.

After 12 years of being in the fitness industry, I still appreciate the seriousness and importance of every fitness program I design. I am a fitness professional with a competitive sports background. Health and fitness is not only my job, but it is also my passion. The single reason I do what I do is to educate and help other people to experience greater success in mind and body and to give beyond myself the talents to employ my passion toward the creation of possibility for others. I have a strong work ethic and invest myself in each and every client.

I have trained people of all fitness levels, age and health background. I have worked with clients for major weight loss, general body shaping and toning, competition, marathons, cardiovascular health, rehab, pre/postnatal, adolescent/teen, sports specific/agility, injury recovery, flexibility and motion restoration, and overall general health and fitness. I incorporate nutrition into my training as well as I am also a certified nutrition counselor.

I have competed in bodybuilding and figure competitions as well as completed half and full marathons, with backgrounds in kickboxing, tennis, and swimming.

Achievement is relative. Every goal set by a client is also a goal for me as your trainer. Whether you just want to improve your health or you would like to find yourself at the pinnacle of your sport, I will do everything possible to help you reach your goal. I am confident I can get you or your family members where you would all like to be. I stand behind my methods and my end product, which is you and your family's health.

    I have been working with Leanne for about 18 months. It was originally a Christmas gift from my husband. Just after a few work out sessions, I felt stronger almost immediatley and had more energy overall. There isn't one thing exercisng isn't good for. I have tried many exercise programs over 35 years that I didn't stick to, until Leanne set up a routine for me. Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. How quickly do you want to achieve your goals, your schedule and time available to exercise, and your budget determines how often you need to see your personal trainer... but when considering the cost, be sure to remember that this is your health and there is nothing on earth that is more important... because without it you have nothing!

On average, most clients do best when they meet with a personal trainer 3 - 4 times per week... less than that many people will slack off and not get nearly as much out of it.

The more frequently you meet with your trainer the faster you'll see results and achieve your goals and there are several reasons for this... consistency, accountability, motivation, guidance, you'll work much harder with your trainer than on your own, etc.

While many people have exercised before, many for years... but do you really know it all? It's not likely... I've spent years and years studying and learning to know what I know and my primary focus is on helping and teaching you. Think about it... if you don't know taxes (like I sure don't :) ) are you going to try to figure it out yourself or have someone help you? Why leave your fitness results to chance?

Many of my clients have openly expressed to me that they have joined gyms in the past and started going for a month or so then never returned. Why? #1 reason was that they didnít have to go if they didnít want to even though they know they should.
My current/past clients actually ENJOY coming because they achieve their desired results, love the variety of training, appreciate personalized instruction and to top it off have FUN!

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Ive encountered alot of trainers in the 12yrs Ive been doing this and ALOT of them don't care, don't pay attention, don't do their job. I DO!! I ask you to "Invest in Yourself" but I do as well. Your goals are my goals! I work with you to overcome the hurdles and push thru to achieve whatever end result your wanting. Even after the workout for the day is over, im emailing, calling or texting you, im researching new ideas, tips or guidance tools to help you along the way! Every client is an individual and no 2 workouts are the same. Personal training to me is just that...PERSONAL!

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I definately do! Seeing how every client is different and has different needs and goals, I have to be well rounded in my training techniques. There is always something new to learn or incorporate. I am currently doing continuing ed and studying for my Post Rehab Conditioning Specialist certification so I can help those who need it after surgery and physical therepy is over.
