FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All work is charged at an hourly rate. My firm asks for a retainer up front and that will vary depending on the complexity of the case. More simple matters usually start with a retainer of around $2500. A separation coupled with support proceedings and high conflict custody would be a higher amount.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to accommodate my clients as much as possible. If it is difficult for them to get downtown, I can meet with them in our Cranberry office or just chat over the phone. Odd as it is, in this day and age it is not unusual to have a client that I seldom or even never meet face to face. It's really up to them and what works best for their schedule.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to the training I received in law school, I have practiced almost exclusively in the area of family law for more than a decade. In addition, I am also a trained mediator and trained in collaborative law.
